The Harlem Hellfighters were an African-American infantry unit in WWI who spent more time in combat than any other American unit. Despite their courage, sacrifice and dedication to their country, they returned home to face racism and segregation from their fellow countrymen.
Sure not relevant. :smirk:

I can deny that straight up without having to even think about it...
In my early years, i sunk a hell of a lot of time into CoD1 with its United Offensive expansion pack. I think my xfire was logged at least 3k hours in that game but i was playing that game long before the xfire platform came along and made it easier for friends to join each others games etc etc. While CoD4 was a good game that i sunk a lot of hours into, its doesnt have anything on the original CoD - Sure its more technologically advanced But it took a while before BF2 dragged me away from it. I was still playing CoD1 until late 2006-2007 but i got to be part of the BF2 community while it was still in full swing before people moved onto other games.

They're still not relying on that anyway. Preorders never outstretch first week sales. They are only used as metric for interest in the franchise and to compare against the competition among enthusiasts.
It's no coincidence that most big games release in the run up to Christmas and the vast majority of copies sold are not preorders.
If a game turns out to be crap then no amount of preorders will save it (look at CoD: Ghosts for example).
What does that even mean. He is completely right. Hes only pointing out if nobody pre ordered you would have a much better, polished game, a product that would hopefuly have more value for money, because they are not relying on pre sales as an indication on how well the games going to do on launch.

I guess people have already forgotten what sort of a state BF4 was released in. A lot of people got burned with early BF4 pre-orders and it took EA well over a year to correct a lot of the problems even then there were still problems with the game.
Dont part with your cash till you see the final product. EA took a severe beating from the people who bought their game & also investors/shareholders who put money into the company for the game only to see it released in a half finished state to compete with the new CoD.
As tempting as it is - Just hold on. Apart from a trailer, nobody has seen any actual gameplay footage.

Actually from experience playing cod and titanfall on PC that enable aim assist, it's not always a pleasant experience for mouse players lol camping with semi auto sniper for example with aim assist on BO3 is very strong. Those games have very strong aim assist and you can easily top scoreboards. I used a controller on titanfall and was dominating games.

It's probably best to let Dice's producer Aleks Grondal answer your questions. If you look close enough, you may even see an indirect dig at Activision's latest attempt.
Why are you calling this Battlefield 1?
Aleks Grondal: We wanted to portray the dawn of all out war. All out war is what the franchise is all about. That's been the case since Battlefield 1942. We also wanted to say this is the genesis of modern warfare. We felt that was an appropriate title for it.
Given you're calling it Battlefield 1, is this a reboot?
Aleks Grondal: I wouldn't call it a reboot, because we're building upon what we built before with Battlefield 4. Technically and gameplay wise we're building upon Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline, and the technology Battlefront has. That just keeps on rolling forward.
So I wouldn't call it a reboot. That seems like an overstatement, because that assumes we would require a reboot, which we don't. The franchise is really healthy and we want to continue growing it.
What do you think, Buzz?
BuzzDuraband: Well, it's the earliest time setting that a Battlefield game has been set in. There never was a title simply named Battlefield and as you are all probably aware the franchise kicked off with Battlefield 1942 waaaaaay back in 2002 before Battlefield 2 in 2005.
I like it, it makes perfect sense and fits in nicely with the setting and more importantly allows us to keep the 'Battlefield Won' jokes running all over Infinite Warfare on the run up to October.
