I know there's no comparison price-wise but my partner and I have a joint account at Nationwide which we pay £10 / month. Gives us breakdown, phone insurance, travel insurance, extended warranty and free cash withdrawals anywhere in the world.
This would be two months paid of that - would be worth considering if you needed the others

Looks good. Does this cover additional vehicles owned by the same driver or just one vehicle?

. Covers one individual per policy; One car per policy.

Which is fair enough given the low price. Thanks.

Thay seem to have other policys for up to four named vehicles but not for this offer and I dont see who they are using for the repair/recovery under policy or an average call out time.
Like many of the cheaper recovery services this is for one vehicle any driver not the other way round.

Only recovery up to 25 miles?

Standard on dirt cheap policies. Wifes got one through the TSB but we had to upgrade it in case she broke down as she has to do some 100 mile trips for work.
Great if you never go far otherwise not worth the money.

The 25 mile is for recovery. They would still come out and try and sort it.

Its only if you want recovering more than 25 miles that they will press for an upgrade

I think the authorities are trying to clamp down on those accounts that you have as they are a complete rip off.

It's the potential misselling that's the issue, where people, perhaps didn't realise they had the account. My own one has full European breakdown and family travel insurance amongst other things, that I think is worthwhile.

Not wishing to hijack the OP's thread but I have been using Start Rescue for the last 2 years after being a committed AA customer. From my experience I definitely recommend Start Rescue, you can get good cashback rates from Quidco.
Op's deal is very good for those who find it suitable, voting hot

Automatic renewal 12 months from start of policy; Renewal can be cancelled up to 8 weeks before scheduled renewal date.

Seems good value to me for many, but "Automatic renewal" for me is a sale deterrent. Auto renew on anything should be an explicit opt in.

I am with this company and within 2 weeks my front spring had collapsed whilst in a car park. They sent a local recovery out he came within 30 mins which impressed me. The only downfall is that they wont collect you if you only have a flat tyre and you havent got a spare which in my mini and a lot of smaller cars do not have, only have a repair kit and if they tyre is split it cannot be repaired so i am a little worried if that ever happens but the price is good. Im tempted to pay that just for their homestart and then get another cover with someone that will pick u up if your tyres puncture and cannot be repaired

hmmm Anyone know if the nationwide banking deal also has the same kind of stipulations with a tyre puncture/blowout when no spare in car? Had a blowout recently to sort - that was fun and had just been switching banks so no cover between(!) Was toying with going to them.
Would a company like this if you had a blowout/flat - still tow you to a place to have tyre sorted tho - or tough luck and left in lurch?

I've just taken out a policy with Kwik Fit, full cover, home start etc. including personal cover for any vehicle. Cost £42, the same as Autoaid who I was with before, but Quidco/TCB are doing 30% cashback making it about 30 quid for a full cover policy on any car

? Really? I get free cash withdrawals anywhere in the world, used 4 / 5 times a year. I get free travel insurance, used again 4 / 5 times a year (including snowsports cover), I get phone insurance (used when I dropped my phone), I get warranty extension (used when a laptop went fiz-pop after 16months), I get breakdown cover. All this is applicable for my wife as well. And should I have kids, them as well. For £120 a year?
Very good value for me.
