It's not a joke, its being a pedant, and yes Hoover have not been good for years. I do get tired of people calling all tablets iPads, all vacuum cleaners Hoovers, all e-readers Kindles, all smart phones iPhones etc etc... it's a simpleton thing that irritates and I am not the only one that feels that way.

I noticed that the 'better Henry' is called a 'Charlie' and is blue.
Just been moving my mouse back n forth over the first two images on that ebay page for a few minutes and keep going back to do it again...

I'm not certain 620w could pull the skin off of rice pudding! A classic "Henry" was 1200w.

I have the previous version of this one the PSP-200A which was 1200/600 switchable, before the EU directive on energy efficiency came into place, and so glad that I did.

yes one does get tired of country folk referring to my Porsche Macan turbo as a Jeep :stuck_out_tongue:
Good price on the Vacuum by the way, heat added - Cheaper than Numatics' James by £20 to £30 and does the same - having purchased James and Henry in the past, it's only to cable wind that irritates with non-Henry.

I bought one the last time Tesco had it at the same price , Don't worry about the power 620 watt plenty of suction , Best vacuum cleaner i have owned and my home is fully carpeted ,
Except hoover is in the dictionary as a standard noun to mean vacuum cleaner. I once got told off by some old hag in a shop for asking for hoover bags when I had an Electrolux. I didn't have the heart to put her straight.

I have a bertie. Which as I understand is the orange cousin of Henry. It apart from colours, it looks identical to this blue one and has the 620w motor. It's brilliant. So light and we'll designed with more than enough sucking power. Only thing I would have liked is a cord winding facility which Henry has.
As recommended by women in tabards for decades. Schools, hospitals, banks, garages, you name it they use one. All of the Numatic hoovers are excellent.
Have a 'new spec' Harry in our gaf and it's excellent. Switched to it from a Dyson Animal and wouldn't buy another brand again. Savage hoovers. <3

Like my username, I cleaned up when I ran the FBI now I use a Henry, but wouldn't mind a Jack. Depends how noisy, so come on let me know... please.

Best value I've found is argos - buy in bulk - usually £10 for 5 or £17.99 for 30 @ argos

Initial impressions are of a solid and well-designed bit of kit that looks really easy to use and empty.
