When you add now tv 6 month bundle to your basket showing as £19.95. Already this price on the app but showing full price on website until added to the basket, maybe a glitch?

Other packages available are:
3 month entertainment package 414/6678 - £14.99

Don't forget that Now TV are in the process of splitting out the kids channels into a separate pack - here is the email I've had from them
• From today Nat Geo Wild joins your Entertainment Month Pass. And the price of your pass isn’t changing; it still renews at £6.99 a month and you can cancel at any time
• The Nickelodeon and Nick Jr channels will be leaving your Entertainment Month Pass on 21 June and moving to the new Kids Month Pass when it launches
• The Disney Channel will be leaving NOW TV’s Entertainment Month Pass on 21 June due to changes in our rights
• As an existing Entertainment Month Pass customer we’ll send you a four-month trial when the Kids Month Pass is available. After that you can get it for £2.99 a month
More about our new Kids Month Pass coming 21 June
• Six kids channels including Nicktoons & Cartoon Network plus box sets from CBeebies and many more
• A dedicated user experience designed with the help of kids themselves
• Favourites like PAW Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants and Adventure Time on demand
I have a feeling that Now TV is going to move in the same direction as Sky and they will keep adding more packs until the monthly fee for everything will be quite high
simes
25 May 164#4
you can add it to your account providing you don't currently have an entertainment pass running ( unless you are on the last month of the pass )
You can only have 1 entertainment pass running at a time - you can't stack them so when one runs out it then activates the next ( you have to wait until the first one runs out , then apply the next pass )

Wow that sucks do you think they can do that within the terms and conditions?! What do you have bought the cards in advance like me (I have two years worth) surely they can't go changing it on you after you have bought them
ashopaholic123
25 May 161#11
Suppose they can because they already have. Doesn't really effect me any more as my kids are bigger but I know what you mean. You should of already had an email from them telling you about it I had one last month. Might be worth you complaining but I think you will still only get the 4 months free trial when it starts but worth a try.

WHAT HAPPENS IF NOW TV CHANGES THE SERVICE?
From time to time we might make changes to either the Sky Movies Month Pass, the Entertainment Month Pass or the Sky Sports Month Pass service. We'll try not to make changes without notifying you in advance, and we won't make changes that materially disadvantage you during a usage month which you've already paid for (unless it's for reasons beyond our control).
We'll give you notice of changes which are likely to affect you during future usage months – we'll aim to notify you at least 21 days before the start of the affected usage month, so you'll have enough time to stop your Sky Movies Month Pass subscription before the change takes place.
If you don't stop the Sky Movies Month Pass, the Entertainment Month Pass or the Sky Sports Month Pass subscription after we've notified you and before the change takes place, and you continue to use the service, we'll take that as your acceptance of the amended service
Treefitty
25 May 161#14
Yeah just read that, still wandering how that affects people that have purchased passes in advance. It does say "we won't do anything that materially disadvantages you during a usage month which you have already paid for" well inhale already paid for them!

No I think if you have purchased your code or box with states the children's channels on it you will get it if the code is activated before the date change. You could always phone and clarify before you buy if it's only the children's channels you are interested in but £20 for 6 months of the other channels is well worth it.

Also don't forget to get the free 14 trial to start with, then after that apply the codes. If you sign up via TCP or Quidco and pay the first month the cashback will cover that as well so you can get 6 weeks free at the beginning before using one of your codes.
Quidco £12 for movies, £5 for entertainment.
Topcashback £10.50 for movies, £7.35 for entertainment.
(to maximise you should be able to use quidco and signup for a movie trial, and then go via Topcashback to add the entertainment trial! They will slightly be paying you for the first paid for month!).

This is a good deal.
I have also cancelled Sky recently after 15 years, and have not looked back.
Now TV gives us most of what we watched on Sky anyways - Game of Thrones, Grey's Anatony, etc.
The retention muppets who call you from Sky are a bit shocked when you refuse their deals, as Now TV is around £5 per month. Sky are offering us to come back to them for "half price" which is around £15 per month.
PS Just make sure you have unlimited internet - we use around 200 GB per month.
PPS You don't need a TV license either 8=}

I received the same letter. I was just wondering whether there would be any reason I could take just the kids package at £2.99 and not bother with the entertainment pass at all? There dos not seem to be anything that precludes this (that I can see) so perhaps this will actually save me money!
...by the way, this is a good deal (there have been lots like this though, I bought 2 NowTV boxes, each with a 3 entertainment pass from Currys for £15 (for the pair)).

You are completely correct - apologies for the misinformation.
We never watched live on Sky+ (always recorded stuff) and never watch live on Now TV.
For this usage, with Sky+ you still have to pay the license fee (as you're recording live TV) but on Nov TV you don't.

It's a bunch of Sky channels that are broadcast to you over the internet rather than via a roof aerial or a satellite dish. You can watch them on the Now Tv website or via a variety of devices you connect to your telly, like a Now TV box, a Roku box, games console etc. I didn't really understand what it was until I got one - it's actually really simple to grasp once you get one. And this is a great price to try the service.

Although I have one reserved I am concerned about their service. I did have it a few years ago and to say their service was intermittent is a huuuuuuge understatement. They tried to blame my broadband however I have never experienced an issue with Netflix, Plex or XBOX Live.
It's all very well saving money each month however if I'm watching the Game Of Thrones finale and I get the generic error message blaming my interment I could explode lol

Each NowTV account may have 4 authorised devices associated with it.

Are these streaming in HD yet?
ST3123
26 May 16#128
They have always streamed in HD, but at 720P rather than full HD 1080P, looks absolutely fine to me though I'd say Netflix and Amazon have the edge in picture quality perhaps because they allow full HD 1080P or maybe they are just more generous with the bitrate....
ST3123
26 May 16#129
Yes, it's extremely vague, I expect they would always simply renew invalid and expired vouchers unless they had a very good reason not to e.g. you had reported expired/invalid codes several times. I expect for the minuscule amount the vouchers/codes cost them, they would rather keep people happy and hence more likely to keep using it...

Whats the best way to register? Use the free 14 day pass then apply the code, or can you do that?

Dear Friends. Need some advice. As a new customer, if I open an account, I have to have the 14 day free trial. I assume ifI input my six month token number before the end of the 14 days they will not deduct from my direct debit on a monthly subscription? Is that right , many thanks

BACK IN STOCK at local stores. unless the site just crashed this morning and showed availability in far places.
HEAT just ordered two.

27 May 16#137
Yeah. But when you do the trial just go to the settings on the website and you can immediately disable the renewal so you don't have to. Then you could enter the code whenever you liked if you didn't want to use it straight away.
When I set it up for someone that's exactly what we did.

I got my first box/subscription during 2015's Black Friday, 6 months just ended this week (but I still had an active pass when I got the email), my email doesn't even offer a trial, just a "Hey, you're getting less, and we won't be changing the price." Good job I use prepaid cards from deals like this I guess, can't complain TOO much at £3.33 per month.

Went to reserve one online as showed in stock then site went but mental as showed out of stock in all stores near me. But managed to grab one today in store - guess they need to check site

Be very very wary of the fact that these rip of merchants take your credit card and full details even though it's a free voucher included and they start charging u before u know it they have taken two months out of the card and their customer services is non existent
matth9999
27 May 16#143
Mostly OOS now - they also reduced the 3 month pass one to £14.99 (had to go for that as the 6 month was OOS anywhere near)
M4tt31
28 May 162#144
When you sign up and it tells you they will charge after the voucher expires unless you cancel so you are aware and hardly a rip off, also you do get an email reminder when your voucher is about to expire and can cancel within the last month of the voucher at any time without speaking to anyone just through the site so anybody with two months charges has brought them on themselves (plus will have had access for a further 2 months)

But if I have a voucher why should I be forced to give my credit card in the first place
retrogeezer
29 May 161#152
well, shouldn't really but 10 secs after applying the code just go into the other screen and cancel the renewal - job done.

29 May 16#153
Yes.
Just log in with the same account to the different boxes.
Apply a voucher to your account on any box - you can then use it on any box you have authorised.

This is a steal thanks for the heads up.
You will lose the remote time and time again.

30 May 16#156
Basically, you use the website to register (nowtv.com), or if you're registered, login.
Apply the voucher.
(If you dont want to get charged in 4 months time, at some point you'll want to unsubscribe from the my account page, but you can do this anytime)
Then any device you log into and play out of, just gets automatically added to the list of 4
I use my PS4, LG, Chromecast, Ipad as my 4 devices, for interest.
The only time i get the 2 limit problem is if the kids are watching cartoons on the LG TV, the wife is chromecasting one of her shows, and I decide to try watch sport on my ipad  - all it does it popup you have too many people playing at once.

So is this the cheapest way to watch Game of Thrones etc (legally)?
Also can I just use my Xbox 360 with the pass and forget about the Now box? (no HDMI on telly)
Does it have Eurosport or can you only buy the Sky sports pass additionally?
Thanks
bluecityste
31 May 16#159
Yes pretty much the cheapest way of watching Game of Thrones (legitimately).
No idea about eurosport, didn't realize that anyone watched it to be honest.... Sky sports can be either a daily,, weekly or monthly pass bought on top, but if a monthly then you might as well take out a proper sky sub as it is very expensive.
skipper68uk1
31 May 16#160
My current voucher expires in August - if i cancel now ( so i dont get charged ) i can still watch all channels on entertainment package ?
M4tt31
31 May 16#161
You should cancel in the last month of the pass. The system checks each month for cancellations so if you do it before it will cancel at the end of the month you cancel.

Please could you explain how one code can activate two boxes to get 12 months worth?? Do you mean that two boxes run at the same time or one after the other??? Obviously I'm having a thicko day!!
skipper68uk1
31 May 16#165
I think because you have 2 boxes one code will work on both - after 6 months is up enter the other code therefore 12 months
ashopaholic123
31 May 16#166
Yeah that's right
skipper68uk1
31 May 16#167

31 May 16#168
I just don't understand that unless you have two separate NOW TV accounts??
jco83
31 May 161#169
That's what you're confusing. You can use the same account on upto 4 devices, and can watch 2 at the same time. So you setup 1 account, and use it on both boxes.

31 May 16#170
I've got a current entertainment pass which expires in October. I currently watch 50% entertainment channels & 50% kids channels. I am going to wait until closer to when my pass expires before buying a new one as surely they will bring out more offers if they are splitting the kids channel into a new pack.
I didn't receive any email about a free 4 month kids trial though.

31 May 16#173
When I have a code, I activate it online at my NOW TV account, and when I watch TV it automatically recognises the fact.
If I had 2 boxes, yes I could watch on another TV, but I still don't see for the lie of me how having two boxes would mean I could watch for 12 months using one code??
markh2001
31 May 16#174
Well I've never had Now TV and I've gone from buying one and trying it out which I love! Especially at this price! Works out at £3.33 a month and now I'm buying 3 more
skipper68uk1
31 May 16#175
1 code will activate 2 boxes for 6 months. After 6 months activate other code ( if you bought 2 boxes )
susa
31 May 16#176
I activate the code to my NOW TV account on line at the NOW TV website. Are you in fact saying if I had activated it via the TV/NOW TV BOX I could then plug the other box in after six months and use the same code again???
Zimmy
31 May 161#177
You get a unique 6 month code with each box, so if you bought two boxes you would get 2 codes. The codes are not tied to the boxes, just the account, so you can use one code first and save the other to use after 6 months.
You can also run up to 4 boxes/devices at a time on your account so you can use both boxes straight away.

Are the channels in hd by any chance. Never used one of these before. Is it like sky the way you can get normal TV too with the Hd. Thanks great deal just cancelled sky. Will miss the planner though.

You get a leaflet with the code and then open an account online.
Add up to 4 devices that can have the Now TV app working, e.g. I have one black box in a bedroom, one app on the lounge TV, iPhone and a Hudl tablet.
You can only use/watch 2 devices at the same time to prevent Sky being exploited by friends chipping in on the action.
I then sell the spare black box for £7 ish still packaged.
Before the voucher expires, cancel it on the last week. It will let you watch to end date without taking payment.
Apply the next voucher.
I tend to have or use vouchers that are within 12 months of purchase to avoid expiry so don't blame others if you buy 2 years worth and find it not working.
Come home watch and work without being tied in to a contract.
Ideal for unlimited broadband users.

I find non live (on demand) programmes in HD and live programmes don't look as great e.g. like SD Sky/Virgin.
My TV still states both are 1080. I can see the difference but I don't tend watch live, I tend to choose from the on demand stuff.

31 May 16#182
Ok thanks. On demand good. Live TV not so good.

You can only have 1 entertainment pass running at a time - you can't stack them so when one runs out it then activates the next ( you have to wait until the first one runs out , then apply the next pass )

If you don't stop the Sky Movies Month Pass, the Entertainment Month Pass or the Sky Sports Month Pass subscription after we've notified you and before the change takes place, and you continue to use the service, we'll take that as your acceptance of the amended service
boxes you can come and go as you please.
PPS You don't need a TV license either 8=}
...by the way, this is a good deal (there have been lots like this though, I bought 2 NowTV boxes, each with a 3 entertainment pass from Currys for £15 (for the pair)).
We never watched live on Sky+ (always recorded stuff) and never watch live on Now TV.
For this usage, with Sky+ you still have to pay the license fee (as you're recording live TV) but on Nov TV you don't.
If you don't like it then there is no contract and you just don't use it - give it to a friend or whatever!
Edit: It is still working if you use your phone hehe
It's all very well saving money each month however if I'm watching the Game Of Thrones finale and I get the generic error message blaming my interment I could explode lol

Now Tv is Sky!
You apply the code to your Now TV account. The box is just one way you could choose to access content with that account
Each NowTV account may have 4 authorised devices associated with it.
Two of those devices may be used concurrently with the same account.
i.e. you can have 4 boxes anywhere (don't have to be in the same house) and can stream content using the pass to any two of them at the same time.
All customers require a NOW TV account to activate the NOW TV Box. 18+. Voucher inside box to redeem your relevant NOW TV pack. New customers simply enter the voucher code at sign up. Existing customers can apply the voucher to their existing account. Voucher expires 1 year after date of purchase. Month Passes automatically renew at end of offer period unless cancelled. Only one Sky Sports Pass can be added to an account at any time. All passes other than that included in your chosen pack sold separately. Savings claims based on the cost of box and relevant content pass if purchased separately.
Grrrr!
HEAT just ordered two.
When I set it up for someone that's exactly what we did.
