Yes, you can cancel, like a lot of subscription services, I think they use the word 'cancel' to deter people from going through with it, or at least encourage them to put it off to avoid losing any subscription (which you don't anyway) and hence hopefully (for the company) forget. What is should really be called is 'cancel renewal' because that's all it actually does...

I don't know if they've got special rules about the trials, normally you keep the time.

But they always tell you exactly what'll happen during the cancellation process (it takes a few pages to cancel).

Signed up for the 14 day free trial pass first to then add on the 3 month Entertainment Pass code later on.

Can you cancel the 14 day trial straight away to avoid being charged later, and still keep the 14 days?

They are splitting the kids channels out to it's own package for £2.99. Extra kids channels too.

I've got an email from them 3 days ago to say they're taking off the children's channels to make a new package of kids channels for £2.99 per month and adding the national geographic channel to the entertainment pack

Not sure whats happened with my Now TV box, i got one in November last year and its still working for movies and entertainment. I checked and the code we put in was only for 2 months, but happy days... its still working.

I went all the way through with the order for the entertainment pass and box
but received no acknowledgement of the order at the end,could the reason
be that i used a visa debit card and not a credit card.
update:- I think they sold out just before my card details were verified.

My entertainment pass was due to run out in a couple of weeks so good timing for me :smiley: can't miss GOT.

I hope not though I could see the financial benefit for them in making it like a mini version of the Sky TV packages, though they would probably lose a lot of customers.

As I have no kids (and am an adult) I can live quite happily without the kids channels in the entertainment pack, though can also appreciate there will no doubt be a lot of annoyed parents, but I wouldn't want to see it become any more split up than that really, say if they decided to separate out disocvery/nat geo into a 'Documentary' package that would obviously be a step too far....

Can someone confirm, as a NowTV novice, if I have a 4 mth Sky Movies pass that expires in 3 months time, can I buy this now and then enter the code when my 4 month pass expires and so I get another two months of Sky Movies ? Thanks in advance.

It was changed a couple of years back so that you HAVE to enter your card details at sign up and start a movies or entertainment trial, before that it was actually possible to make a free account by simply signing up but not completing the payment part but they closed that loophole.

You still don't have to pay anything though as either trial can easily be cancelled online without having to call anyone so not that much more work really....

It's been a while since I last used now tv but I remember at some point I had to put in my card details even though it was just a pass, may have been when I signed up or when I activated the pass, can't remember.

To be fair, I did the same thing and forgot to cancel. Luckily it wasn't working using the Uni wi-fi after they changed some settings, so I got about £20 or so refunded :smiley:

I did wonder and asked the missus to check as its all in her name, but its just an email and the code from the card in the box.
