I've lurked on these lease deals threads for ages waiting to pull the trigger on one of them... Not quite there yet but one of the things I've wondered - is there an ideal term for a lease in relation to spending the minimum on maintenance?
So, for example, if a car requires a service every 2 years and your lease is for 2 years must it be serviced before it is returned? Would that then make an 18 month lease more advantageous?
Any advice from the leasing experts on here appreciated.

I have got the 1.5 diesel n-connecta model I posted last month and I am very impressed. I really like the nature of lease deals, only if I could use the car as my own.......letting my dog in it with dirty paws, hauling junk in it, doing tip runs, going offroad and not worrying that I will scratch something or let alone leaving it at parking lot and someone denting it...

...In return for vastly higher wages than what they're used to, child benefits they can send home, free healthcare, free schooling, working tax credits plus other loopholes which work in their favour. Also(!!!) something that's not taken into account, free future elderly care, etc... These migrants are a short term answer. They're economic migrants, here for themselves, not for the benefit of you or Britain.
Also, please be aware, that the vast majority of these useless Brits that everybody speaks of, statistically, are actually foreign born UK nationals and second generation immigrant stock... To say a Somali, Bangladeshi or Pakistani who weren't even born here are Brits is insulting and misleading. The leftie propaganda has done well to give the impression the majority of unemployed are white dole scroungers.

Nice attempt, but to suggest anyone who wants our countries immigration policy managed against the infrastructure that supports it, and wanting the tax we all pay to be spent on the people who already lived here is hardly the same as hating people from other counties. I (like many others on here) who have family who are immigrants are offended by people like you who paint people who don't like the doors open policy to be nothing more than racists. Stop trying to polarise it around race, or hating others. You can dislike the doors open EU policy for reasons other than race or xenophobia.

Voted hot just for the immigration comments. Both sides have right. As immigrant I don't like these people who are coming here for the benefits. I am working in a factory and never had the need to apply for benefits. In my country it's a shame to take benefits( I am talking about perfectly fine men and women). That means you cannot support yourself, you are a loser, incapable, not thinking half man.
OldEnglish to Milev
4 May 16#138
So you work in a factory & you don't need to claim any "in work benefits" at all? I'am sorry but this doesn't wash with me.
I would have thought the majority of unskilled Eastern Europeans that come here claim more in "in work benefits" than people born here. I live next door to a Polish family, in fact there a 3 men 2 women & four kids, they all work at the same local factory, the men that is. So you tell me how people born in this country are supposed to compete in the work place with that, unless they're prepared to live in the same way.
Makes me sick when people go on about people who are born here are scroungers & Eastern Europeans are prepared to take on jobs they turn their noses up at. :smirk:

Try before you buy. Those little turbo engines don't suit everyone. I had the Qashqai with this engine, the car will bog down if you come off the turbo at low speeds, fine when you're going but the lack of power at low revs can catch you out. Expect mid 40s mpg not the crazy paper figures. Still ok for a mid sized petrol car but maybe not what is implied by the lab tests.

Some people, actually believe we'd have a health service without European or other expats. Obviously this was a joke comment, but it shows just how much the 'leave' campaign has focused on racism. The fact is that if we leave or stay nothing regarding free movement of people will change, take a look at Norway or Switzerland, and the agreements they have adopted the same agreements that the UK will have to adopt in there's a Brexit. Nothing will change, apart from the government will have even less accountability . my HotUKDeal would be to buy dollars ahead of a likely Braxit!

Forgive my ignorance, but you have to get some insurance on top of this right?

You don't have to. But you wouldn't be able to drive it anywhere if you didn't. Not legally at any rate.

Is that also a lease or is it PCP?

'A' reggie, you're doing yourself a disservice, it's 32 years old at least
W1zz
10 May 16#181
It's a lease. Total outlay over 2 years should be £3,356 (including deposit). Equivalent of £139 a month or £35 a week.
Her current car is 13 years old, worth about £700 and is due MOT next month. It'll probably need 2 new tyres which are about £150 and she's paying £13 a month road tax.
Leasing, she'll be driving round in a brand new car for 2 years. New tyres / exhaust etc... No MOT required, £0 road tax first year and £30 for second.

Quick q, if anyone can answer, after the term is the deposit returned? if yes can you pick another car without paying another deposit?

It's not a refundable deposit. Read "initial payment".

They called me today to cancel - why the extra week, I'm not sure.
It's a shame but at least I have until the end of July to sort another lease out.
magicmikethegrea
29 May 16#195
What was the reason for cancellation?
BubaMan
29 May 16#196
They said that Nissan changed the prices so the lease was unprofitable.
On hindsight, I'm not sure that it was the real reason as nobody on this thread has had their lease cancelled.

Hmmm, I've ordered myself - black over 36 months. Not heard anything yet. I don't understand why they would offer a lease that they can't honour. Surely the order would be made with Nissan at the point you complete the paperwork with Sandicliffe at the price at that time.
Fingers crossed they don't cancel mine - I've sold my current car just waiting this to arrive :O

If it was paid by card it can take up to 28 days, get your card company involved. Do give them a chance though, it's only 2 little old ladies and a tea boy in the office.

Nice family car... in price of c1 or other midget car.
Family hatch for £139 a month all considered, that's pretty stonking.
For an engine of this size the performance is not too shabby either!

there are people here who have looked at the deals. its good to socialise... maybe someone has seen deals that I have missed and are more interesting!
they are thinner than us Brits, especially their butt
1 payment of £560.47 (including £199 admin fee)
23 payments of £120.49
Total: £3331.74 over 2 years (£112.26 less than the 9+23 deal)

Dobrego dnia!
So, for example, if a car requires a service every 2 years and your lease is for 2 years must it be serviced before it is returned? Would that then make an 18 month lease more advantageous?
Any advice from the leasing experts on here appreciated.
3+23 8k Miles total 3302

Any person showing " habitual residence" in uk is entitled to the same benefits and health care as a uk national ... After an initial 3 months "waiting" period , which applies across the eu.
The classic grudge-match of Buy Used Crew vs. Team Pseudo-financial Expert has been done to death. Even dudleyguy doesn't bother lecturing us on the benfits of classic Escort ownership anymore.
Goods reviews for this model, does anyone own this version?
Been looking at leasing for some time now and yet to pull the trigger.
Thanks.
yea , I'm a woman. that last part was a joke
I'm seeing around the £160-£170 mark with 3+23 at 8kpa
thank you very much for finding this deal. We were looking for a car to replace our current lease thats about to finish.
This is perfect for us. We have just got a red Nissan Pulsar, arriving in 6 weeks.
Many thanks
Never understand men who like pancake ****....
I see Poland and Eastern Europe haven't welcomed the Third World with open arms, nor have they embraced the joy of multiculturalism... Shame on them!
I also couldn't believe the size of the spaces the first time I went to the USA - about 50% larger than ours.
In White: £655.23 deposit, 23 payments of £109.20 - £3166 total. Delivered start of June.
Why do people like you think we are all in agreement with you?
https://leasing.honestjohn.co.uk/personal/audi/a4/94582753/
Much prefer to stick with a british built Pulsar myself likes  Heat OP.
Not sure why you thought I was commenting on the UK's foreign policy. But since you seem interested, I will agree with you that an open door policy has a lot of negative side effects and although I think it could work in the future, it just doesn't in today's world.
I'm sure there is plenty of such "debate" going on on your usual fora like stormfront or the daily mail comments section.
:stuck_out_tongue:
I would have thought the majority of unskilled Eastern Europeans that come here claim more in "in work benefits" than people born here. I live next door to a Polish family, in fact there a 3 men 2 women & four kids, they all work at the same local factory, the men that is. So you tell me how people born in this country are supposed to compete in the work place with that, unless they're prepared to live in the same way.
Makes me sick when people go on about people who are born here are scroungers & Eastern Europeans are prepared to take on jobs they turn their noses up at. :smirk:
Have a good day.
Heat added.
I feel i am entitled for at least an oversea trip in the summer (all inclusive) but I am not prepared to let go my sinny bimmer, how can I compete with my neighbour...
:disappointed: Waaaaaaaaaaaaa
But if you prefer not to be "blatantly ripped off" feel free to go direct to the dealer / manufacturer.
Come to Scotland we've an ageing population and loads of space!
If you want to see how honest small, second hand car dealers tend to be go and stand at a car auction and see how many of them are bidding on cars of very dubious origin.
Dope bro @bigbloke
its called the law of materialistic diminishing returns:smile:
Some people, actually believe we'd have a health service without European or other expats. Obviously this was a joke comment, but it shows just how much the 'leave' campaign has focused on racism. The fact is that if we leave or stay nothing regarding free movement of people will change, take a look at Norway or Switzerland, and the agreements they have adopted the same agreements that the UK will have to adopt in there's a Brexit. Nothing will change, apart from the government will have even less accountability . my HotUKDeal would be to buy dollars ahead of a likely Braxit!
Rant over!
