Just sold mine for £130. Not worth the hassle to be honest. So limited in scope I didn't even bother to charge it since February.

Out of interest, what would you like the watch to do that it can't?

The flat tyre is the biggest reason stopping me from purchasing. I would pay max £50 + the flat tyre in 2016.

What on earth is the "Flat Tyre" ???
PS it's Tyre unless you're American.

The "flat tyre" is the black part at the bottom of the screen where Motorola house the ambient light sensor. People are moaning that it stops the screen from being perfectly round. See my other comment on this thread, it really isn't an issue at all!
I have a 1st gen version, and I don't even notice the so called 'flat tyre'

Ditto. The number one use for me is that I no longer miss phone calls and messages when I'm out. P.S. Try Facer, I've tried a number of the watch faces apps but the free ones on this are pretty decent and come along regularly

The flat tyre is the bit at the bottom.of the screen that isn't actually part of the screen. So the screen cuts off making it look like a flat tyre.

Very good price, I paid £220 for mine. I love this watch.
For people moaning about the flat tyre it really isn't an issue, it makes the notification bar pop-up into a symmetrical strip rather than what would be an ugly semi circle!! I really don't notice it with my dark watch face.
Got a moto 360 1st gen and I love it, battery lasts all day, with facer I can finally have a word clock (if it's 18:10 the watch displays 'ten past six' in English).
That said I'll be looking out for the second gen LG Urbane because they're supposed to be near doubling the battery capacity compared to the 360 and using OLED which'll make it last even longer with my mostly black watchfaces.

Have 42mm version black after 1 week returned.
Why returned because it is was not for me - Nothing wrong with the watch it self It will do job fine
Why not for me : )
The first day it was fun “new”
Second day Apps / tweaking etc “Fun”
Third day not many notification / call / messages - so the smart watch losing his point to be smart just becoming regular time watch …
Start play with heart rate , or health apps after 3 hours delete all of them They tracking my steps ? what F….? counting my steps calories to toilet ? what it is my gym machine what a joke
All these Samsung , moto , - fitness apps is total …… People go to gym , go to parks , cycle , etc and stop counting calories needs more movements and problem fixed. Change job to warehouse you will lose weight in 1 month I promise 100 %
Fourth day – Messages on small screen become boring , as I always grab the phone to see full messages or Facebook or etc .. .on my Note 4 : )
Fifth day Thinking why I have this smart watch what function I need or money spent £200+ and to see notification about missed call ? message or read messages . For me missed Facebook notification or missed message does not change my life - it is people working with clients and for them missed call or unread notification can cost maybe money or save time etc.
Sixth day at home Tablets phones on all corners PC as well. Thinking why I have smart watch to see the time ? to see my hart rate ? Maybe it is nice on hand like accessory Some point yes it have screen can change background not bad to show people look I have smart watch but that it
People having gold watch or top range watch have them as rich people accessory …… me smart watch as ….. ?
So I have returned as mine was black it is ok not to bad looking nothing special
Maybe a bigger version 46mm plus silver will be better give more expensive feel?

I have had my Moto G first gen for a year an a and love it, but it't not that cool new gadget to show off (though it does get lots of attention it noticed) it's a notification centre that's immediately viewable. Think of it more as a alternative to Google Glass than a phone.
You won't stop using your phone, it's not the same thing, it's a centralised place for all notifications to go that is easier to get to than taking the phone our your pocket. Now it can do a lot more than this, and it's fitness features are very cool (though you need to carry the phone with you when running anyway as it doesn't have gps) you can find some weird gimmicky apps like playing doom on it or whatever (but it's impractical and silly) but the coolest thing bout this, is you get lots of notifications? immediately see what they are. Want to reply to that whatsapp or sms now without getting phone out pocket?, hands aren't free etc? talk to reply (voice recognition), swipe a message back (flick keyboard) delete the email, mark as read etc.
Ultimately my phone use has changed a lot since getting the watch. Instead of getting the phone out my pocket every 5 mins to check what's going on and see what the new notification was, I look at my watch. I interact with the notification: delete, label, download, whatever and that's it. I get my phoe out my pocket for full conversations, for web browsing/new reading etc. I no longer need to get my phone out my pocket for the 5 second stuff. I like this because it's convenient, it's safer (I don't like walking around holding a £500 phone in the high street as there's a lot of phone thefts in the city) and one big plus for me:
I don't miss notifications or calls anymore. I missed so many calls and notifications when my phone was silent, or quiet, if I was walking in a busy and loud high street, or muted in the quiet office. I missed job interviews, important family calls etc. Never again. and that's more than justified the cost of the watch for me.
I understand not everyone cares enough to pay £100 on a notification centre, but that's their prerogative. I absolutely would and am glad I did.

I am looking to get a smart watch for medical reasons, my father needs a way to monitor his heart rate through-out the day.
Apart from the Moto 360 Gen II, are there any other recommendations on a watch-like heart rate monitor?
The reason for me looking into the 360 is that it seems to be the only one with a stainless-steel strap and decent watch face - along with the heart rate monitor.

The Huawei Watch has a more accurate heart rate sensor (2 sensors) but is more expensive.

Simple option would be Fitbit Charge HR, now around £95-£100. Tracks steps/ distance & calories, also sleep and heart rate. Caller notifications.

Flat tyre is for ambient light sensor. Watches that don't have a flat tyre don't have an ambient light sensor, so if you set your display to low in the evening it won't brighten up when you step into the sunlight.
I'm back on a Pebble Steel now, after using various smartwatches from Sony, LG, Samsung, Moto and Apple - they're cheap, the battery lasts for a week, you can see the screen clearly in any light condition and you can operate it with wet hands, or even in the shower. I never use apps, voice commands or anything 'actionable' though - my watch is just a hub for notifications to pop up on, and to control music.
Having said that, the 2nd gen cognac Moto 360 I had was the nicest *looking* smartwatch I've ever worn.

I had one as a present from my wife. Couldn't get on with it
The Heart rate sensor didn't pick up my heartrate.
The battery didn't last a full day.
The apps didn't work - BBC app would show an article I'd click on it then the watch froze......
Fortunately amazon took it back
Really liked the look of it and wanted to use it

absolutely agree with your comments. I don't understand why those watches are not more popular! They're brilliant!
