That's the way the hardy ones grow . Just prune the dead wood back to the highest new shoots (they are just starting to grow in the last 2 or 3 weeks ) and you'll have a lovely plant again this year .

voted hot. Does anybody know how to care for these as yes they do grow back every year, but this year I've got what looks like a load of dry sticks with the odd leaf shooting here and there!!
