We can trace our milling roots right back to 1675 when my ancestor William Lea started milling at Swettenham Mill, South Cheshire. Today we are still keeping up the family tradition after 15 generations as independent British millers.
We believe in selecting and milling only the finest grain and in using the techniques and time honoured traditions that we've passed down from generation to generation. Above all, we continue to put all our expertise and care in to providing you with a healthier, tastier breakfast.

Agreed, although not all oats are equal! Tesco Value oats are great for cooking with, but if you want porridge then the best are Scotts in the yellow packets (the extra large ones) - lovely.

in Morrisons, compare the value, the standard and the mornflake oats. The only difference seems to be the packaging and the price. Identical nutritional info and the oats look exactly the same. I suspect they all come from the same vat of oats in the mornflake factory.

Remember to blitz them in a blender a bit if your making flapjacks. They are quite resistant to holding together otherwise. Big oats!

I actually prefer the Tesco everyday value oats for flavour. Pretty sure the Asda smartprice oats are equally nice probably same supplier.

I use 50g and 200ml milk microwave for 2-3 mins

Try soaking them overnight so that they are fully hydrated, that should help on the fibre front (milk or water either is fine).
