Owning 3 pairs of various Merrells I advise anybody ordering to go a half size or a full size up because they are really snug fitting.

Normal sports direct trainers have soles made out of Plasticine, at least it seems that way...they wear out very quickly.
Owning over a dozen pairs I would say the opposite, get your feet sized right and look at the merrel size chart. I've got big feet(size 14 and a tad wide) and most merrels fit really true to size. I've just bought some of their new stuff for this year and it's phenomenal, their new boots might just be the most comfortable boots I've ever owned.

these are made by Merrell so not the usual "Sports Direct inferior rubbish" (which I would never buy)
Sports direct own brands tend be of a very low quality - these include some truly iconic brands: Donnay, Slazenger, Firetrap, Dunlop, Everlast, Kangol, Karrimor and Lonsdale! Most, if not all, of which fell on bad times and were bought cheap by Mr Ashley.

If you are normally a 7 then you will need the size 8 with Merrell.

Type Merrell in to the search on both sites and you'll find other Merrell Gore-Tek shoes, in lots of different sizes. Not giving quite the saving but still some good reductions

Out of stock in size 8 there too. Looks like they're all from the same stock.
I wonder if either has them in-store or if this online only?

Are these original Merrell quality or some Sports Direct inferior rubbish (just using the name) like a lot of their tat seems to be?

I took this advice and they were too big.

Merrell are inclined to be small , so a half size up is recommended .
