Nice one... price up a tenner but still went for it thanks OP
I've just registered my new Makita impact driver 10 mins ago (also from Powertool World) so thought I'd remind others, it's one of those things you forget all about doing.

Yeah! I think the info comes in the package to be honest. A good shout if people miss it or don't realise. Cheers!

I have the older style Makita impact driver and drill set, 10.8v, absolutely faultless performance for jobs around the house and shed etc. I suppose this new style means you could get higher capacity batteries as opposed to the older in-grip style.

I just tried to buy it however it comes up as full-price at £129.99, with the discount this means it is £119.95. Am I missing something?

Personally wouldn't bother going for anything other than 18v - all the good stuff is 18v, you'd just be tying yourself into another set of batteries. Go Makita, go 18v and that's all you'll ever need.

Love my makita 18v lxt stuff. I can't see the advantage of 10.8v. I guess a good deal. Voted hot for the sander ( which I already own!)

For your domestic user I don't think that would be a problem at this price.
I've got a Milwaukee drill driver set and it's bloody impressive yet only 12 volts.

Powered by phantom Li-ion batteries made by fairies in a fenced off field in Narnia where Unicorns lock horns when the sun rises.
Well, the orbital sander uses those type of batteries from what I can see, the drill, impact driver set uses normal ones by the look of it.
