I would go trade ladders at these lengths, I have a triple 10m set and the difference is night and day, when your 30ft in the air you want a good sturdy ladder with nice wide rungs, i think I paid around £140 delivered for mine and for 90% of households 10m is more than enough, what price safety. If you are going to buy ladders just make sure they can reach everywhere you intend to use them

I would not buy a class 3 ladder unless you are a very light and skinny. The maximum loading is 95kg - remember this includes anything you are carrying as well as your own weight.

Depends if the top of your house is 5.2m high.

There are apps to work out height but 5.2m is a bit on the small side.

I own these Titan brand ladders. They are 6m extended and just about reach the gutters.

Bear in mind that triples are heavier and will be harder to use. Unless you have a specific use for these I'd avoid even though I've gave some heat for a good price.

While ladders can be deadly I'm fine with domestic (class 3). They are built for purpose and will be OK for the occasional job.

are there any safety regulations laws about usage restrictions of ladders which are to tall and if yes what are the restrictions and max working height?? if yes does it apply to traders only or also to a private individual??

If you're going up ladders for work then they just need to be safe enough and used in a safe way. It makes sense to use those rules even if it's just you using it.

It is basic maths but who carries a protractor around.

I use ladders all the time (window cleaner), I've used some dodgy gear in my time - don't buy those Abru ladders from B&Q for instance but these seem well made. Just because they are class 3 doesn't mean they aren't fit for purpose.

I owned a set of 3.5m class 2 triples and they were cumbersome and awkward to use. I'd avoid them and buy a double extension which will be cheaper and easier.

As I said, I've given some heat to this thread for the price but don't be fooled by triple is better.

I was not talking about how safe I want to be, obviously we must use the common sense, what I wanted to know it is what the law does say about height restrictions if in reality they are in place as suggested by someone to me in the past. Anyone?

Bud please post this, just bought it and i'll definitely give you heat, it has 4.2% top cashback this weekend too. Right i need to stop buying deals this morning spent nearly £200 on a random assortment...this ladder a hockey stick and some trainners lol.
