Snapdragon 808, 4GB RAM. Should be a solid performer, shouldn't be a noticable difference to the 810 and less heat issues. Personally waiting for a Snapdragon 820 based phone but this does look like a great device!

Don't think they'd put the 820 into the V10 successor. LG are working on their own in-house CPU (Nuclun 2) which is being developed by TSMC. Hopefully we'll see a V20? This year sometime. Not entirely sold on the G5.

No one can hear more than 16 bits or 44kHz. Outside of selling things to fools who don't know any better 32-bit and 192kHz is utterly pointless.

I really had high hopes for the g5 but it seemed a bit of a let down. This is still the best LG to date IMHO. Hope a v20 arrives

i was so close to getting this but im not a fan of LG's skin and there is practically no rom development, im a avid custom rom user so this is a big loss, oh well...

This or the Galaxy S7 (5.1")? I can get the S7 for the same price from a friend brand new.

S7, I reckon, if both at the same price and both brand new - in less you want a larger display

It doesn't matter that it's 32-bit specifically. It just happens to be the best DAC in a smartphone currently. You can listen to £700 audiophile-grade IEMs without needing to buy a separate DAC/amp. Unlike other smartphones which can't match it's noise floor or output impedance.
I had to buy less sensitive 32 ohm IEMs because the LG G4 will cause distortion, hissing and popping when used with sensitive balanced armature driver IEMs.
I'm happy with the setup I have for my G4 right now. But if I can upgrade in a year's time and there's nothing better than a V10 then I will hopefully be able to upgrade so I can have a better audio source. Dual-sim, 4gb memory and the internal 64gb are pretty good as well.

Paid more for this during the eBay discount code fiasco and don't regret it at all, awesome phone.
Certainly one of the bigger phones I've used so be prepared for that if you consider it over a flagship phone (although puny compared to my Xperia Z Ultra).

The Z Ultra was an awesome phone although it's a shame the camera was a waste of time, the only reason I changed to a Note 4. I've been tempted by the V10 for a while for something a little different.

While I love the V10 & cant understand why it was never officially sold in the UK, if it's a straight up choice between it & a S7 for the same money definitely go with the S7. It's a newer phone, faster cpu, great build quality, perfect size (imho), great screen & camera, good battery life . And most importantly it will get updates, at least faster than any LG phone will get them. Basically the S7 is everything the S6 should have been.

I can't seem to get them to ship to the UK? Anyone know why

Are you sure? both have similar spec apart from 4GB vs 3GB ram (You don't need 4GB of ram in a smartphone because your never going to open 50+ app all at the same time) and one has a slightly bigger screen. LG 4 way better value, lowest I've seen them go for on here is £200-225.

Indeed. Camera was pretty mediocre and with no flash to boot as well. Can certainly recommend the V10 as a big phone but if you're a fan of the Z Ultra then THIS may certainly catch your eye!

Modular phones like the g5 can't be the future of mobiles - only if/when modules can be used with several different models, will they become viable

add a phone you already have, then you can see the difference between the two
