Maybe you just phrased what you said really confusingly, but just to make it clear this device has a 1920x1200 resolution screen, which *is* FullHD, with a little extra vertical space to spare. It's a higher resolution than FullHD, not lower.

I have had one since that rather good Tesco deal a couple of years ago now (I think).
Really don't use it much at all now, but it is a good tablet. The main issue I had with it is the battery was quite poor / average compared to my iPad and Sony Z3 tablet (about half as long).

Still the best tablet I have ever owned for the money I paid. Now belongs to my 4yr old and holding up well, if the card dismount issues have been solved in AOSP I may upgrade it that.

Bought mine 2 years ago on a tesco special for £108...rooted now and CM13, battery life is stellar.
Still a more than capable tablet and if you can bag one at this price then its the deal of the year!

I hate these one store deals, ruins the site... gets harder each day to filter the site for real bargains! The only decent bargains are the ones they link from email which i already have...

It would be if you didn't still have to explain what FHD+ is to most people. Just stating the resolution is still the most straightforward way for most people... like what I did.

Does this improve the performance, had mine at least 2 years, getting a little sluggish now so was thinking on doing a factory restore anyway, but might update to marshmallow if there's no drop in performance? Are you using plain android or a custom rom?

I've had mine for 3 years or so. fantastic. bought on sale for £120. bought 5 of them and gifted them to people. Still in old firmware but it's fine. ONE BIG ISSUE WITH THIS TABLET. if you go to zero power it simply won't charge up again. if this happens you have to press on the power button for 20 seconds then charge using a PC so it trickle charges. you may need to do this for 4-5 hrs before using a normal charger. or else even if u leave it on charge for 24hrs with normal charger it won't accept the charge. kids usually take it soooo low!

Excellent price for a very good tablet if you can get one, my GPad 8.3 still as fast as when I purchased it, it's a shame LG never updated it beyond Kitkat 4.4.2 but their are many good custom roms for it. Good find. Heat added.

First: You need root permissions - i used towelroot
Second: You need install flashify from play store and install twrp recovery for lg g pad 8.3 (v500)
Third: From twrp You can flash any rom and gapps.
Roms and gapps You can find on xda site. I got stock android AOSP but You can install as well Cm13 and gapps.
For more instructions go to yt and google, and type, how to use towelroot or flashify or twrp.
And the best thing, if You brick your tablet no problem, install lg drivers and LGMobile Support Tool on PC and it back your device to latest official soft.
