​Would go with the G5. About £120 cheaper if you sell the lg cam plus. G5 has a better camera, modular feature, removable battery, Less bloatware now, faster finger print scanner, IR blaster and a few more things but both phones are very similar when it comes to specs and you cant go wrong with either. Considering the price, the G5 is the one I went with.

LG G5 or Galaxy S7 ? tough choice to make (Better camera vs Better Build)... Such deals drift me towards G5...

Does an S6 still sell for much more than a G4? Didn't think it did. This is still a few quid more than an S7 via Very anyway, and that's without selling the Cam Plus privately.

Have been using G5 for a couple of month now. Battery barely makes through a day with mild use and USB type C is useless. I wish I got S7 Edge.

Code is only applied once you have created a Very account. If you try entering the code before it will not be valid.
Once you have created the account, the code will be valid and you enter the code in to box on right hand side

Buy another battery, that's the whole point of them being swappable...

My G3 is very poor compared to my Z2 too but it isn't difficult or a heavy burden carrying a couple of spare batteries with me which weigh a lot less than a power pack.

Shame it's not the B&O DAC friend or I'd have been on this.

Just bought, wouldn't accept the code until i'd made a new credit account with them. Could change to pay by card after that so it seems just making the new account makes the code work

I've no experience of the G5 but I have an S7 and it's difficult to imagine how the G5's finger print scanner could be faster as the S7s is instantaneous.

That's a good point, while Samsung phones don't hold their value well the G5 new price is dropping like a stone, even faster than I recall the G3 and G4 dropping.

My guess is that it's not selling well, possibly because it does not look as premium as the S7 or HTC M9 and M10. But I'm just speculating.

I have the G5 from Very only last week for the higher price of £429(after 20% discount) and having had the G4 as well all I can say is WOW and the question about the finger print scanner is that it's like turning a light switch on its that responsive also very much looking forward to getting more of the LG friends as and when they come out.

Well worth getting this phone if your looking for a new one and at such a low price(if you can get the 20% discount)

The cam grips done tend to go for that much, as they were bundled with the phone by many retailers and networks. I picked up one brand new and boxed for £25 on the bay, and that was a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah, yeah spare battery, but thats just a pain having to always change up the spare and carry it around with you.

Code works fine. You have to sign up for a credit account with Very for it to work.

They used to have a habit of running multiple credit checks on you in error when setting up a new credit account (happened to my wife and also a friend), thereby ruining your credit rating and having to go through the hassle of getting it removed from your credit report.

Maybe they've improved in recent years, but I'm not taking that risk.

I ordered one at 5.30 this morning! Just had an phone call to check details to confirm setting up the account (length at my address and address details) and was told the account had now been approved and I would receive a confirmation email within 15 minutes, which I did. Just went to my account. - The tracking says guaranteed special delivery with the Royal Mail but it is not showing up as received by them yet, probably as the order has just been processed. But looks hopeful for delivery tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

G4 owner here. It just bricked. Bootloop problem. LG have appalling customer service. Also many G4s are ticking time bombs in terms of failure as it takes 6+ months for Bootloop hardware failure to occur. LG know this but have not sought a recall and fix as, say Apple would have. So the phone fails leaving you with no phone whilst it is sorted. Shame as I liked my G4 and the camera. As a result I have immediately spent more and bought an S7. I won't give LG more business due to appalling customer service on this and other items that have been defective.

I'd also say on G4 battery was crap. On a day of heavy use out of the office, it would be running out by 5pm. Had my new S7 out the other day and still 32% when I came in at midnight. Very pleased as this is about the biggest consideration for me along with camera quality.

This is a good phone and a Im very tempted by the deal, the only thing thats putting me off is the cam plus, i dont want it and you're not going to make much selling it (several around £45) on ebay). Im probably going to wait for a better deal without it. Still voting hot though.

I ordered via Very credit for the 20% discount, and despite being told it would be delivered on Saturday, looks like it will be on Wednesday now. Got to phone them up when it arrives and they said they would sort out a goodwill gesture for the time taken off work waiting for the delivery. (Although will believe that when I see it!)

I mean there is no added benefits of the USB C type, it does not help even with Micro USB adapter.

anyone who bought one from very have any off the issues with miss aligned bottom where u see the gaps or the back light bleed?

I can see no back light bleed in my fone, on holding G5 to a bright light in certain angle, I can see slight gaps between the chin and the unibody(more gap on side of lock button), but I guess thats design issue which is for all G5s... any one else has similar observation ?

I received the phone. Two days before they planned.
I am very happy with the phone and I found Cam Plus really handy, so if it's still on sale don't think too long.
