I was looking for a new TV and this looks to be at a very good price.

Mine arrived today.
The good:
LG Smart TV works awesome. No lag and lots of functionality. Casting from Iphone was smooth. Casting from windows 10 was just awesome (over wifi). Took seconds and I had Gotham on the 55 inch LG screen.
Good quality screen, 4k is absolutely awesome.
HDR worked like a charm on Amazon Ultra HD videos.
Very Slim, great looking TV. The ribbon bezel doesn't really need dusting, which is always a plus.
Great sturdy remote. It acts like a Wii remote to control the smart TV functuion.
The Bad:
I watched some football on it and it was good but sometimes the ball looked a bit blurry, almost like the up-scaler is having processing issued. The more I watched the better it seemed to get.
If you can afford more, there are better TV's at a higher price range but this is an awesome TV at 749. I would go as far as to say it's probably the best 4k 55 inch under 750.
Delivery was very good, they called the day before and gave me a 1 hour delivery slot.

How you getting on with this? Football got any better? I watch a lot of sport and a bit wary as seen a couple of comments about sport not being great
Also wondering if a basic 2016 model would be better than a reduced 2015 mid spec

Good price, found it slightly cheaper and also has free delivery.
I would have bought this TV but the legs are too wide apart (39" I think?), I'd need to buy a new TV cabinet too.
This was LG's rival to Sony's KD55X8509CBU which is still selling for £999 everywhere (£899 cheapest price).
While JL are selling used ones for £799 (urgh), why won't this damn TV drop in price too, like a good little boy! :disappointed:

I have this tv and it wont support the flash player that's needed to access ITV HUB through the browser. It does have bbciplayer installed. I got around this by plugging a now tv player into the back and using their free itv player.

Had this just before Christmas for £950 from richersounds. Awesome TV for this price! :sunglasses:
It doesn't have ITV catch up but it does have a browser. I would assume it could be accessed through the browser.

Don't forget to buy the 'MONSTER UltraHD high-speed 3m HDMI performance indicator' for the staggeringly low price of £89.99!
You'll feel like a right doughnut when your TV arrives if not

One of my work colleagues has the same TV and he loves it. It was between this LG and the Sony KD55X8005CBU for £710 but I'm a little concerned about the reviews for the Sony around the Android TV. So I decided to take the plunge on the LG. I move into a new house in 3 weeks time, so the lead time is fine for me.
It should be delivered around Wednesday 18th May 2016.
