Bit of a typo. They're more like £50. Just search on eBay for x1 carbon replacement screen and check your generation compatibility carefully

I use one every day for work so absolutely no issues. The screen does have poor viewing angles off dead centre but I might try replacing it, as you can get 1080p IPS replacement for this exact model from eBay for £20

I've got one but have yet to open it - I'm still trying to convince the wife that we actually need it !
Does anyone have any feedback a week on ?
In addition, check out your warranty here as mine only shows an expiry date of 13/09/2018 (2 years and 3 months).

You have a 14 day, no quibble return, you can use it for a week or so and if it's not for you, send it back. No need to bother the courier!

Any other issues than the screen? I just bought this exact model from amazon, clearly returned by somebody. Poor viewing angles don't bother me one bit. Might have to be a real PIA with the courier because being a 'return' I want to check it out before accepting it. Pity I can't leave a note with Amazon to that effect.

I'm away but when I get back I'll post a side by side with the IPS version. Then TN is fine *dead on* middle, but pretty bad off centre vertical and left / right.

Bought it with the knowledge it wouldn't be great*

The TN panel on this is awful, I had this model and had to send it back! Viewing angles were so bad, I bought it thinking with the knowledge that it wouldn't be great, but when it's the part you look at all the time it starts to grate on you!

I don't see why people are complaining about the screen.
These are high end management bling laptops. IE light and functional

Oh and that red nipple, what a selling point. A laptop with a nipple! Lmao

They still look like they are built in the 80's and why don't they have decent screens... Colour reproduction is shocking. But for the prices of these things, this is a good price.

I'm starting to think mine has already been upgraded lol. How can I tell for sure??

The TN panels on my two x220s were awful. Colours looked horrendous at any angle. It was 1049088 pixels of eye cancer. £100 to upgrade them both to IPS was some of the best money ever spent.
They are built like brick ****houses and have had a good amount of thought put into the ergonomics of use.

Because this is an Ultrabook...now compare this to a Dell XPS 13, HP Envy or Macbook pro..this is actually a blinding price.

That's a fantastic price for a one of the best business centric laptops released in the last few years.
Personally, I'd still go for the XPS13 or pay a bit more for the XPS15 but the X1 is undeniably a nice machine.

I bought this when it was this price last time. Great looking laptop, screen is fine when using it head on but it's has pathetic viewing angles being a tn panel. I left it on windows 7 but I have a bug where you can't adjust the screen brightness after coming out if hibernation.

I have a TN panel (Lenovo x220) and can't complain. Previous laptop I had was a MacBook Pro. Really can't see what the fuss is all about with IPS screens, got no problem with my TN panel, just less easy to share something with people sat near me unless I turn the screen towards them a bit.

Update: was 12 in stock at 8am this morning. Was 11 in stock most of today, after I ordered. Goes on HUKD and down to 5 remaining in 30 mins. Move quickly or miss out until next time!

Didn't put me off. Ordered and dispatched. Arrives tomorrow. How bad can it be? (I have a Gen 2 at work. It's IPS and 2560, but this is Gen 3 with better trackpad, so worth a punt at 1080p TN)
At the price point, you can mostly only get non SSD or only 128GB (which isn't enough). Comparable machines like Dell XPS 13 are up around £900. I've had a camelalert on this for months, as it pops back into stock occasionally after selling out within minutes
