Darn it. Wish I'd known this earlier before the code was expired :disappointed:
Edit: Although... I've just been on to the Lenovo site and couldn't see anything about a backlit keyboard on the features list on the product page for this one so opened an online Chat with them and their rep said that this model does not come with a backlit keyboard. He said that their Lenovo Think Pad models can be configured with one, but not this one. So it appears that their own employees don't even know the features of the products that they sell.

Having spoke with Very they have told me that the code is for non-sale items only. The code does not expire for a few days but can only be used on full price items.
Re the new member code if you sign-up to have a Very account: I believe this can be used on laptops, just not Apple products. Annoyingly I can't get a credit account as Very do not recognise my address (despite the house being there since 1965!).

Very online chat told me that the code 6WTKT was for "Very Exclusive" items only and asked me how I got hold of it. Does not work in either my wife's existing account or a new account I setup for myself. Can't seem to find another 20% off code that works for new signups either that also applies to computer items. :-(
Can find a code that gives £20 off by my wife referring me as a friend but wanted more discount than that so have been holding out for a better code that works if anyone knows one!!!

My one appeared yesterday. Very impressed with it so far.
The only minor issues were:
- Warranty displayed incorrect date (started 3 weeks ago) - easily fixed with an online chat with Lenovo. - The Lenovo solution Centre Hardware scan showed up an issue with the graphics driver - a quick google of the issue and an update of the driver & that too was sorted (apparently its a false error report anyway).
One other thing I asked about while on support chat was extending / upgrading the warranty & that can be done through this link shop.lenovo.com/SEU…nty
The prices for extending / upgrading the warranty seem not too bad.

Same here. I hesitated because I was after a backlit keyboard and didn't realise this had one till after the code expired/went out of stock because it wasn't in the specs. I ended up going for the HP Envy after somebody posted the 10% off code but have since called to cancel as a few people have mentioned how loud the fan is on it.
This is actually back in stock now but at the full price of £549.99.
Felix.360

The warranty date is not an issue it is the warranty activated when the unit leaves the manufacturer. It protects the machine between themselves and the retailer. When you activate your ownership with lenovo the warranty is redone.

You need to go control panel / hardware and sound / mouse (under Device and Printers) then click 'Device Settings' then 'Settings...' then under the 'Multi-Finger' tab
If you don't get on with Win10 then use classic shell classicshell.net/ it makes your Win10 look and feel like Win7. Only takes 30 sec to install and change (if you don't like it you can easily uninstall it).I've been using classic shell since Win8.

Still had issues with reading cards. Tried 3 cards (a Kingston and two Sandisks) and with all of them I had to lift them up slightly for the reader to detect but as soon as I let go it stopped working.

Agree with you it was a bargain laptop. However, usability wise, I struggled with size of screen and I needed a large HD ie a desktop replacement. Sorry for the very late reply! I'm guessing you have already sorted this. I want to say partition magic but honestly I can't remember, all I remember is that it was a program booted up separately from Windows and it was a straight forward swap.
