Lots more instructions included with EV3 than there was with EV2.
We got it for Christmas and have just got through all the main models and have built a few of our own creations - still hundreds of online instructions to sift through!
Software is fantastic (even I can understand some of it)- especially if your children have used Scratch or other drag&drop coding tools.
Note: This has been going in and out of stock all morning, so I don't know whether they just keep finding the odd set behind the sofa, or whether people aren't completing checkout - who knows! If it's OOS - keep trying.

slightly off topic. I was all set to get one from Tesco using boost. £210 all day long for the last month or so. go on there today now boost is on £299. I'm madder than a bag full of badgers. bet when boost finishes it'll drop to £210 again.

In theory... but for the majority of casual eBayers, eBay (10%) and Paypal (3.4% + 20p) fees plus postage (£10 say, to insure for £200) will come to about £40 on selling for £200. Mass sellers have reduced rates and eBay sometimes run capped fees eg £3 max fee on all sales, so it'll get it down to about £20 costs all in, but you might as well put on gumtree for around £180-£200 and pay no fees.
I got 3 from Tesco, not sure if I'm going to keep all 3 for my boys and me, or sell 2 via gumtree to pay for most of one to keep.

they are a riskier 'investment' than other lego sets such as star wars since each new version of mindstorms is a technological leap from the previous one....making the old ones look lame....so i would only recommend exercising such an offer once or so

These are regularly on Argos 3 for 2 on toys and is £229.99 there at the moment but £190 is a good price. I bought a set at Christmas but there are only instructions supplied for 1 basic model, the other instructions you need access to a laptop or tablet. Don't really think there's 100's of instructions online, more like just over a dozen official ones with the associated program.

it is a good price, but i went for the tesco direct deal recently instead which was 3 for 2, so i bought 3 of these for £420, making it £140 a set....and i intend to sell the other 2 in the region of £200 (which they regularly achieve on ebay), which will mean the one i keep will cost £20 or so
