Muscle food lean mince 400g packs are 95pence again. I know musclefood orders seem to divide opinion but I've always liked them.

Cold. The last (and only) time I bought lean mince from this company, it was worse than the 20% fat mince from a supermarket. The weight shrunk from 400g to 220g upon frying:

Got 7 packs with a recent offer and it's very good.
Bough some sirloin steaks to make the money up and they were ok, not the best, but ok.
The lean mince was good though and I'm thinking of chicken breasts next.

Was thinking of placing my first order but that pic really puts me off. I only ever buy 5% mince, that looks like a really fatty pack..... :disappointed:
Reviews always seem good on their Facebook page.

Honestly, it was disgusting. Never, ever again. Their Eastern European chicken tastes like crap too.

I have ordered from these for years and always been impressed, don't let others put you off, good quality meat for the prices

Heat for the price, but to contradict myself slightly, I had my first delivery from them this week, can't say I was overly impressed on the whole, 5kg of chicken arrived as 2 x 2.5kg bags which had loads of slimy fluid in there, slight smell to it, also had 3 bbq packs, which looked OK but nothing special, when totalled up I don't think I saved anything considering the bbq packs were supposedly a third of their normal price, I shan't be using them again.

5% fat my ****. As someone who was a butcher for over 20 years..............that's closer to 20% fat. That's the sort of stuff we used for sausages and burgers.

Really, guy showed how much fat is in that pack for extra lean beef, Crap company claiming top quality food, bet the chicken is filled with water, even though it says it doesnt, they clearly lied about the extra lean beef.
Muscle food my ass.
2 x 5kg is 40.00 from my butcher, he will bag it in twos as well, and he knows where it comes from.

I just buy supermarkets own veggie mince for £1.50 500g, doesn't shrink and tastes exactly the same to me. Also full of protein and none of the health negatives of meat.
You are joking? It was fat. It all solidified on the plate when it had cooled down. Even your customer service adviser agreed with me and refunded the whole order. You must think we're stupid. I will post those photos on every single mince deal that is posted on this site so that people are aware of the rubbish that you send out to customers.

Everyone is entitled to their point of view but the majority of people are very happy with this product. If yours was fattier than usual, this is not representative of the majority of the steak mince which goes out the door! I am glad that customer service put it right with you and sorry for any distress this may have caused. We try very hard to keep our product standards high and nobody, not even OCADO, TESCO or any supermarket as a Trust Pilot rating of anywhere near 9.4 out of 10. That being said, we can always improve - so thanks for the feedback.
If you do want to try us again, please get in touch, we will prove to you that our mince is usually at the fat % indicated.

Dont be put off by the pictures. There mince is excellent. Maybe he got a bad batch but have been happy with nearly everything I've ordered. Only exception was a couple of packs of Sirloin was a bit fatty and grisly but overall their food is better then supermarket

I bought an electric mincer 4 years ago, buy beef joints when they're on offer ( Sainsbury's £4:00kg at the moment) then freeze it. As little fat as I want and I know it's proper meat.

Not promoting :-) But the mince looks that way because of how it is vac packed, it is the collagen which is natural and usual, and not fat :-) You can see over 30,000+ independent reviews which we can't edit right there: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/musclefood.com . We also UKAS test the product and publish the results: https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/musclefooduk/downloads/certificate-of-analysis/beef-minced-steak-lean-95vl.pdf
Right :-) That is us done :-)
