Went into my local Wilkinsons store (Preston) and got this bird table reduced to £3.25. Excellent bargain.

I don't see a question but a fact.
Here's another I found: The expression 'as thick as two short planks', which is sometimes given in the variant form 'as thick as two planks', is of UK origin and dates from the 1970s
