Must admit I had to deal with Karcher recently and one of the best CS teams I have dealt with, a real pleasure in this day and age to have a company that is so helpful and professional ......VERY impressed and that takes a lot from me :-)

I had one of their k2, I called up and explained that my one had stopped working, I sent a picture of serial number (silver sticker on bottom) and receipt and they sent out a brand new one no questions asked! No need to send old one back either, great customer service I believe...

Bought one of these a couple of weeks ago from B&Q. Karcher are offering a free accessories kit 'worth' £100 when you buy any Full Control pressure washer. You can apply online and upload a copy of your receipt. We must have submitted ours on 9th May and we have a tracking number for it being delivered by DPD on Monday.
You edited your details to include the free accessories kit, but didn't give any credit? Cheers dude

just bought mine today. Good price. It was the same price as what i consider a 'lesser' brand, mac alister, at the same power rating.
I am slowly stripping the ronseal off my green mouldy decking with it.

1st one I bought returned because of broken variable lance, 2nd returned when water started pouring from casing. Both times on 1st use... maybe very unlucky, but didn't risk a 3rd!

Nilfisk has a metal motor which as a result is more durable. Have karcher started implementing a metal motor in their jet washers yet?

Think usually it's the rubber seals that go first
In these machines
Love mine, but I always end up tangled up in wires and hose pipe
That's true, the seals in my Nilfisk started failing within a year.
2 tips for owning one based on my experience:
1. Coat all the seals you can get to with a lubricant (e.g. lithium grease) before putting it together
2. Have a pack of spare seals to hand, or your weekend jetwashing plans could become a damp squib. And nobody wants that.

I've just fixed my Nilfisk, while they have metal motors they still have plastic ancillaries. The pressure switch which is plastic and screws into the side of the metal motor broke on mine, causing it to pump water out of the base.
Fixed and working again (for now).
No more reliable than any othe rbrand I have had!!

Looks like a great buy, and there are lots of improvements, but seriously...
"LED display trigger gun, guiding you to the correct pressure setting for the surface you are trying to clean."
Why.?!!
What a waste of time and money. They should have left it off and passed the savings to the customer.

Seems it's been a fair bit cheaper before & currently only about a tenner cheaper than average price.
Just bought one from B&Q for the same price (£146 + free delivery) http://www.diy.com/departments/karcher-k4-full-control-pressure-washer-130-bar/1266368_BQ.prd
Used TopCashBack for 3.15% (but cannot see anything yet in TCB).
If you have a diamond Club card (for over 60s) you can get 10% off in store on Wednesdays - I assume this will qualify.
Will now claim my free kit from Karcher - thanks for the heads up.

The one in Wickes for £139 is the old model (probably discontinued model) which they are selling off IMO.
