This is IMHO so much better than the Ronseal stuff, I did one side with the Ronseal kindly bought by a neighbor when we repaired the fences 2 years ago and I did the other side with the above and the Ronseal side needs doing again :disappointed:

In the last few weeks I've used Ronseal, Wickes, Johnstones and Cuprinol. (Only bought when on offer - of course :sunglasses:)
Only the Cuprinol could get away with one coat - but that's too expensive - even when it was on offer.
All the others required at least 2 coats.
I mostly used Wickes - as it 'was' cheapest when they had it for £2.49 for 9 litres - but that was a couple of months ago.

Here is my thoughts.
Serves 2 = Barley enough for one! Buy one get one free = Can find the pair elsewhere individually for about the same price! Bed Sales, Sales now on = Sale is always on Sales Ends Tomorrow = But the new sale starts next week! 25% extra free = You've been reducing the size for the last year! Same cost!
Ronseal, Wickes, Johnstones, Cuprinol etc etc etc 1 coat only = ALWAYS BLOODY TWO!!!!!

One coat yet number of coats recommended is two!!!!!
Check the guarantee on the back before you buy. Some are only guaranteed for 12 months. I painted my 90 foot fence 15 years ago with some decent cuprinol. It takes a full day to do it properly by brush and not something you want to be doing every year. Just done it with ducksback this time so will see how it goes.
