I have ordered 2 x boxes at 09/05/16 13:01, still showing Awaiting Stock Pick.

From other members on the thread, it seems that there were two batches of boxes sold. The first lot had £20 crossed out next to the price of £5 and the second were just priced at £4.99, no mention of the early £20 value.

Both had the same description, though, of items from past boxes with a few extra bits handpicked for it. So I think everyone knew it wasn't going to be the standard mystery box that they sell but, for the people who bought the first batch, they weren't wrong on the value of the box.

Its fault advertising as far as I'm concerned, waiting on reply. might get paypal involved.

This was posted as originally being £20 but I never saw it saying that on the site but I can see how the confusion could arise as they are all called geek box- these are obviously just a different kind of geek box - kind of a lucky (or in some cases unlucky) dip.

For £5 this was ok - would have been awesome to have been the proper £20 box but it wasn't but as I say I don't think it ever was supposed to be - not OPs fault think everyone would have assumed the same.

The only mystery about my two boxes was how they were allegedly sold for 20 quid beforehand.

Exactly I can understand if there isnt a t-shirt because of the sizes, but they are literally getting rid of the poundland stuff, not one 'premium' item.

Mine both say Mystery Geek Box on the bottom of them so it might've just been luck of the draw. And the description on the site did say that it was items from previous boxes with some extra stuff picked out so it was clear it wasn't a past box.

Still not a great selection from what some people have shared, though.

It may have only been a fiver, but to me it seems misleading as mines states on the bottom "welcome box". Welcome boxes are a promotion box sent out with new subscriptions, and due to this will never have the Value or range of products as the main boxes. If the website had states this I may have left it, but I was on the understanding it would be full box from previous months, not a promotional box.

I will be too, there's no consistancy and it doesn't match the description it's meant to be to the set value, not just off casts of 50p items.

Give the box to a kid and they'll mess about with it for an hour or two.

I'm really glad that some people are happy with their boxes and I can appreciate that they were only £5 to purchase but I can't help feeling a little disappointed. Like others have said, this was marketed at £20 originally and, while mystery boxes can be hit and miss, it looks like this batch was never going to be a good one.
It's a fun gift to give to my flatmates but I honestly expected at least a t shirt and a pop vinyl figure in them. Frankly, this is lacking.

Disappointed both my boxes where the same, got the soldier magnets, lemmings mug, tails pixel bricks, xmen comic book and an iron on patch. Though when looking at the back of the boxes it says welcome box on both, so I have a feeling these were the free promotional boxes they give away when you sign up.

I got two the same (which stops my kids arguing so fine by me) and I was quite happy with what I got for a fiver tbh:
- Lemmings heat change mug
- Doctor Who lanyard
- Toy soldier fridge magnets
- Sonic Tails pixels model
- 2 iron-on zombie skull transfers
Apart from the zombie skulls the rest will all get used. I'd have been miffed for £20 but for a fiver I'm happy. Off to make a brew in my Lemmings mug. Thanks again OP :smiley:

I'm not impressed with mine. Fast delivery which was cool. But both boxes are exactly the same,got Xmen comic book,army men fridge magnets,a transfer,a mug and a cheap Lego tails. Glad I didn't pay £20 for it

Probably only going to use the mugs in mine the rest I would deem forgetable. All I can say is consistancy isn't there. Will be dropping them a friendly email of suggestions.

I got similar things to others but I got what looks like a Mars Attacks fabric sticker thing which I cannot find on the internet :S.

....and, my 2nd box has been sent out now, so no cancelling it now.

I will reserve my judgement till mine is here if it ever turns up. Should of been with the postie today by the sounds of everyone else getting theres.

But I'd expect them to be as high quality as the other ones content's wise to premote users to buy the full price one imo, I will see if they agree on reflection if this is not the case.

A T-Shirt would have been a nice suprise, yes, but I certainly wasnt expecting one. I am quite impressed to have lego in it to be completely honest

Gotta love when people moan abut the contents of a mystery box. If you dont want to be disappointed, dont buy a mystery box!

It might just be my account but it has 0 under the Available quantity to cancel for me. It's not a big loss, tbh, since my flatmates are gamers and would probably like the boxes

I've tried cancelling but it won't go through. I went to the contact us page and found this after filling in the form to cancel:

I now see I was wrong or they have changed the description to a selection from the boxes. So I am taking advantage of the delayed despatch to cancel the order. When someone gets one maybe they can let me know if it was the right decision.
