Do they need one card per table or one card per customer...?
Don't suppose you can pay with Tesco vouchers when using this?
paulj48

You can’t use this discount with any other promotions or set menus (such as Tesco/Nectar vouchers and Tastecard).

But you could combine this with the Amex offer. Spend £50 on Amex, get £20 back on the card!

You can also use the Amex to good effect with supplementry cards i.e wifes etc. Load the offer to each card then split the bill and pay on each one. I saved an extra £40 on Saturday on top of saving money using a Pizza Express code

I copied and pasted from the T & C's for the OP who asked about Tesco cards, did I mention Amex?

used it last tuesday with NUS card. Purchased a £50 gift card first on my Amex to take advantage of the £20 cashback offer then paid for the meal with giftcard and got about £20 remaining

Buy a gift card for the balance if you can't rack up £85 in on spend.

Be a student, go to NUS website, Apply for card, pay for card, card gets posted. Has your name, place of study and picture on it.

Pizza express's standard price for its standard menu is pretty expensive for what you are getting. If you find a nice authentic Italian you can generally get better food at my better prices (pre-offers)

I don't want anything to do with the NUS.
It appears to be riven with anti-Semitism.

I did this deal last time and the restaurant knew nothing about it and gave me a bill with 20% off, I had to show them the deal on the NUS website before they'd change it. Just make sure you check your bill.

I agree, its extremely overpriced for what it is - but they always have offers on and using those it is acceptably priced. Its a reliable venue for family meals, child friendly, obviously just another chain - but many of their restaurants are well designed and in interesting buildings. A local pizzeria run by actual Italians will usually be much better though.

Yes, and it begins with an 'N' like Nazi, says it all really doesn't it?
One person has made some ill judged anti-zionist comments, that does not equate to "riven with anti-Semitism"

Does the Amex spend need to be one transaction or can it be multiples totalling £50? Have an Amex but won't spend £50 after the discount on one transaction

Did you purchase the gift card in store before dining? Did the cashback probably Credit to your card?
kingnpuk
25 May 16#39
I dined, and before I requested the bill I asked can I buy a £50 gift card first and then pay the bill on that. Amex usually email you within 24 hours to say your cashback has been successful. just make sure you load the offer to your card first

I'm pretty sure it does, there's nothing in the T&Cs that says it doesn't
