This is silly cheap for a fast 64GB micro-SD card. Same deal as before, but this time you can use the MM5FB code in May which brings it down by 5%, then potentially grab 4.04% cashback from Topcashback as well.
Bonkers.

I'm going to buy it just because it's specs are better which I don't understand and put it in a device which is incapable of utilising the better read and write speeds

You can never have enough memory. I ordered two, just in case.
I plan on using one in my phone when I come to upgrade - and I may use the other in my Wii or something.

Just purchase as normal - then phone Quidco and tell them you bought a memory card. They then ask you for your PayPal details and send you money - it's a fantastic service.

Been using one in my Canon 60D for ages now and it's been great. The 60D can only write at around 22MB/S which is about the speed this card tops out at so no issue there and you still get the benefit of pulling the files back off the card at 90MB/S
Great deal for phones or older cameras with slower write speeds and as additional storage for tablets etc.

The speed are
write 20MB/s
read 70MB/s
We bought the same card last time. Most of us got constant 20MB/s write.

Careful... specs are not everything. I just replaced a 16gb 45mb/s U1 Sandisk Extreme card with a 32gb 90mb/s U3 Sandisk Extreme card.... and it's slower at writing small files.
If you're planning on using this in a digital camera because it's fast, do some real world tests. I copied 100 x files of my typical jpg file size to each card and the faster card was slower.
In my case, I got 30mb/s out of the old card, and 20mb/s out of the new.

Is there something wrong with mine and would it be worth sending back for a replacement?

Amazon competing with them now by the looks of it:
If speed is important to you, send it back for a refund. They are quite good with refund.
I personally would not want a 10MB/s write card.
You can wait for the 80MB/s 128GB Sandisk Ultra at £30, which is a good combination of price and performance.
If do not mind the brand, you could always buy 64GB 7dayshop card, speed is good and cheap too, write 29MB/s, read 75.

Thanks for the reply. I don't need an ultra-fast card, but I'm wondering why mine seems about 30% slower than the figures quoted?

Your major flaw in informing us is what you used and how you tested, was it USB 3.0 througout or USB 2 or partly USB 2 and 3? For a specific flash memory, the performance would differ depend on the weakest link of your test chain in USB. But your test results certainly meet Class 10.

Expired as it is back up to "normal" price of £11.99 (same as Amazon).
