I know there is a strong risk of it going cold, but this finally made be bite the bullet and go for the 6S. Due to the coverage I need to be with EE and this price has finally made it competitive with some of the other networks.

It is the 64gb version which is still £619 from Apple direct.

The deal is for 1000 minutes, unlimited texts and 2gb internet which is ample for me seeing as I mostly use wifi.

£25.99 a month for 24 months plus £140 up front if you use voucher code FLASH10 at the checkout.

**UPDATE**
Code to use is now: 10TEN10 (thanks star19775)

There is £20 quico cashback available.

This makes it a reasonable £743.76 over two years.

Seeing as Apple charge £619 for this phone this means your line rental equates to £124.76, which is just £5.20 per month.

Yes this deal is not for you if you:

hate apple,
need 50gb data a month,
want an iphone 7,
or hate the idea of leasing cars... maybe another thread.

For a way to get cheap, interest free ownership of the 6S 64gb, this is the best deal I have been able to find on EE. I have been looking for about 8 weeks now and had thought I'd wait for the iPhone 7 until this came up today.

I hope it helps someone!

Jay.

First of all it's £619. Secondly all flagship phones have premium price including Samsung, LG, HTC and even Lumia. The only difference being - Apple devices holding a decent value for at least 2-3 years whilst Androids only do so for 6 months, regardless of being premium or not.

iOS 9 works on the iPhone 4S, a device which is five years old!

For those of you not that great at maths - Five years >>> 12 months

Complain about how iOS is more locked than Android all you want, but to say it won't be supported in 12 months is just BS

I applied for this and was rejected for a failed credit report. Called Vodafone who said they'd carried out the check on mobiles.co.uk behalf and it passed with flying colours but was actually rejected by mobiles,co.uk. This despite my score being 9999 out of 9999!? This deal is either a scam to get people attention or they have some other strange selection criteria were not aware of?

If you have Vodafone reception, their data bundles are more generous for the same price. If you want EE £6 a month more and £200 upfront instead of £150 gets you 4gb data
almakey
8y 44d #68
This is a good deal, just been stitched up by 3 so am now looking at phones..

Up from £15 to £25 a month on a sim only contract or just under £32 a month with a phone? Almost a no brainer, unfortunately I'd need more than 2GB data though 😞 will keep searching!

Voted hot!
JayJaz

That saves you £96 in line rental but costs you £75 extra for the handset so only really saves you £1 a month. Suppose every little helps if you don't need the bigger plan

If you're an EE customer and out of contract they'll match GiffGaffs £12 goodybag (unltd mins, unltd texts and 2gb data) on a 30 day sim only deal AND double the data to 4gb.

It's basically EE's £23.99 sim only deal they offer for £11.99 per month to keep you as a customer.

Might be a better option for anyone able to buy the phone outright from Apple so you're virtually contract free from day 1.

I recently received a better offer after I had asked for a pac code. Managed to get a iPhone 6s 64GB in Rose Gold for £19.99 + £6.99p&p & 28.49 p/m for Unlmtd Calls & Text + 5GB data. 😕 Even the EE staff on the phone couldn't believe the deal!!
nnnn
8y 45d 1 #60
Thanks for this! I ended up taking out the 1GB/month contract for 225 + 20.99*24 - 10 = 718 GBP, minus potentially 20 GBP from Quidco -> 698 GBP. If anyone else doesn't need 2 GB of data, this might be an even better option!

Took about a day for credit checks to go through, received the phone on Monday. No problems so far!
JayJaz
8y 45d #59
I was going to. But £143 for line rental for two years is hard to beat. Plus interest free credit. I think it's a good deal on that basis.
The cost of the phone in isolation is another matter. I think it's wrong they charge so much!
JayJaz

Yeah it's bizarre really ,I think I got lucky with the guy in cancellations as he was a top bloke and as soon as I said I'd seen a deal with Vodafone for 12 months he was straight on the case hunting down a good deal.
Anyway hope you enjoy your new toy, looking froward to mine arriving tomorrow, can't wait for the bigger screen after my 5C 😄
JayJaz
8y 46d #50
If they'd given me that I would have taken it. I told them my only concern was total cost over the contract. They said it wasn't worth their while trying to match the deals on the third party sites. I rang them on three occasions before I decided to go for this deal - my new phone arrived today so I am happy anyway 😃

Great deal for you that is though 😎

8y 46d #49
It's worth calling EE when your leaving, I was about to jack them in today because I didn't like their on line upgrade deals and fancied only being tied to a 12 month contract which I thought they didn't do, then they offered me a deal of a free iPhone 64gb, unlimited mins and text, 10gb data on a 12 month contract at £63.99 month, yes I know that sounds high but it works out at £767 for the year which isn't too shabby for a 10gb data limit I thought and I don't have the hassle of porting number etc.
JayJaz
8y 46d 2 #48
That's really good. They wouldn't give me it so I have to use my PAC to take my number to PAYG and then I'll have to PAC that to bring it back to EE! Why they don't give it straight to loyal customers!!!

Just bought this deal - everything went through fine. I did find though that Mobiles.co.uk can change the deal when you select a different colour - a trick to get the colour you want on THIS deal (i.e. EE) is to change the colour in the address bar (i.e. from gold to silver) - worked a treat

Thanks,

iphones "just work", in every regard except your wallet. nearly a grand for a device that will be forgotten about and no longer supported by apple in 12 months. I'd much rather pay 1/4 of the price for something just as powerful, with an open and (arguably) better operating system, that's part of an ecosystem with tremendously better cloud integration.
Shard to maltikism
8y 47d #20
It's not that that they "just work" because they don't, they've got loads of flaws, it's because they are heavily locked down which makes them great for the general public and much safer, there's no getting away from that.

That being said personally I hate them because they tend to be 2 years behind Android phones in terms of hardware and software (looking at you Service Workers) which makes my life harder.

Paid £125 upfront and paying £24.99 per month, took this out at the beginning of February, so that is not the greatest deal that was ever available 😛 Hot as this is the best deal you can get at the moment for 64gb model. Be aware that cashback was declined for me.
Shard
8y 47d #28
You've misunderstood, iOS being locked down is not only a selling point, it makes it safer, it's the only realistic selling point Apple has except for fashion. But I believe this image says it all:

EE is expensive for data. How's Vodafone by you? £31 a month and £100 up front for 6gb sounds decent
JayJaz

The £20 will be a bonus if it works. I'll argue if it doesn't come through as it is misleading if it doesn't pay out IMO
tissot22
8y 47d #14
there is a similar deal on hotukdeals from mobiles.co.uk (via uswitch) -£100 upfront, 2bg data, unlimited min/sms, £50 quidco (though the cahsback is questionable - my quicdco was declined on the same deal couple of month ago) on voda (which has not the best coverage). voda deal seems to be slightly cheaper but ee deal seems to have better coverage (and i think internet connection on ee is faster than on voda).
anyway this deal offers good value for money so heat added.
JayJaz to tissot22
8y 47d #17
That's right. Vodafone have been cheaper throughout and I wasn't willing to pay £200 extra to have EE. This deal though has hit all my requirements perfectly. Just a pain that I have to port my EE number to PAYG and then back to my new phone as EE won't transfer when it's via third party unless you can get it as an upgrade - this deal nowhere to be seen as an upgrade and less competitive than EE direct!

I have found using techradar
http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/mobile-phone-deals-1291413
and uswitch
https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/compare/contract_phones/
Both these sites have been great at finding the best deals, I have used them both and even managed to get quidco to track when I bought my phone.
afox1984
8y 47d 1 #11
I'm thinking of getting the iPhone SE, but maybe this is better value. What happens after the 2 years are up on these contracts, would I be eligible for a free upgrade to a iPhone 8 or whatever it is by then? or do you pay a fee or something? Apologies, I've been living under a rock for some time..
JayJaz to afox1984
8y 47d #12
It depends really.

I've just come to the end of a two year contract, same plan as this one and EE offered the upgrade but £320 payment up front for the 6S or around £180 for the SE.

The SE is worth £180 less than the 6S - both in 64gb if you were to buy from Apple.

I thought I might just go for the SE as there was a deal with £25 up front and the same as this plan for £25.99/m

When this came up today though it was the clincher.

£5.20 per month for line rental based on the cost of the phone direct from Apple represents excellent value for money.

To get it cheaper you'd have to buy from another retailer - have seen the same phone new for £549, then source a good summer only deal.

Hassle, interest free etc etc made this a winner for me. Good luck
dijay94
8y 47d #10
Meh, I prefer the 2 year ugrade cycle of being two models behind the latest i.e. I bought a 5S 32GB when the 6S was released for 200 notes.
welshfrankie
8y 47d #9
Very tempting as I find 16gb on my 5S nowhere near enough space but despite the questionable coverage, Three's unlimited data is keeping me tied at the moment as I use it quite often for Netflix etc. For people who don't have ridiculous data usage like me this is a great deal for a new phone's mid-tier model
Gortraney

It's likely to last for the May bank holiday weekend I would imagine and then it could either revert back to the previous price or stay the same...this is just a guess. Not sure if anyone knows better but if you're keen, I'd maybe go for it now.
