Game, set and match.
This is one thing I don't get about the food police here. So quick to jump in and criticize food, but lots of them clearly don't seem to understand the basics of how food or ingredients work.
Surely it's common sense to know fruits contain natural sugar? Do they think their 'home made' smoothies are sugar free or something?
The irony is, if somebody posted a low sugar 'with sweeteners' alternative, they'd criticize that for having something like saccharin or additives in. You can't win!
I've personally been trying to gain weight the past few weeks and have been making my own smoothies every day, but to be honest, I'm already sick of making them and cleaning up the blender every day. These will save me the effort of constantly having to restock frozen fruit and the strawberry/banana supply!

from the side of the strawberries & bananas: *Contains naturally occurring sugars from fruit
22 crushed strawberries, 2 mashed bananas, 1 & half pressed apples, 38 pressed white grapes, 1 quarter of a squeezed orange, 13 crushed blackcurrants
might have a case for them stiffing you on the 38 grapes but i don't think they'd need to add more sugar with this fruit mix...one day i'm gonna mix my own using the exact same quantities...for now, its £1.50 for 750ml in ASDA...cheers OP!

How is an innocent smoothie full of added sugar and what is false about their advertising? These things are naturally contained in the fruit and/or veg in some drinks. You might be confusing pure fruit juice or smoothies with fruit juice drinks.
Quoting a daily mail article, particularly one with Dr Lustig, isn't my idea of doing research.
Either way of course we shouldn't have too much of these types of products. :smiley:
