i have been with o2 for over 10 years and have never been charged for an emoji neither has my partner, iD told me the phone was too old when i phoned them to ask why my daughters "no shock" sim only deal was over £10 more thats when they said the phone was too old.
Oh...thanks for warning about charge for Emojis...as I was planning to switch my son's o2 network to ID, considering it cheap

My arguement is they said my phone was too old to send emojis without being charged which i consider bull as just 2 months earlier i was sending them on o2 without charge, the arguement is they are blaming the PHONE manufacturers saying its sony at blame yet how can the same phone be free on one network yet charged on another and it still be the phone manufacturer at fault? utter bullcrap from iD, if o2 had been charging me i could understand it.

i bought 1 2 weeks ago and going to cancel it, i could not send sms for 15 minutes at the heart of my town center. 4g is slower than 3g. no internet and signal inside my home which is 5 minutes from the town center. 1 star will be too much for this network.

'no bill shock' contracts is what it says, DONT beleive it my experience with them is they will charge you ABOVE the cap for sending emojis (priced as photos) on what they class as old smartphones like my xperia z1 compact

Most networks charge for sending emojis thats why a while ago there was a warning to turn them off on your phone because they where charging as a mms.
