I have the Techwood 40 inch version of this set,a rebranded Vestel or such like and can confirm that the Netflix app built into it plays 4k/UHD content,the menu and screen shots make me think that this is the same.Hope this helps.

Whilst watching streaming video (Sky Go, YouTube) from PC connected from Mini DisplayPort to HDMI I see a lot of flickering of blue pixels - it shows up like an outline, mainly around dark shapes. Only happens with video streams using any browser - normal video files are fine, and sources other than PC (e.g. YouTube app) are OK.

Has anyone else seen this?

Bought the 43" version when it was £250 from Argos. Great TV. Netflix 4K works fine. Never managed to get YouTube 4K working. The one I have doesn't have the ITV player and it isn't available in the app store on the TV.

no, 60hz at 4-4-4chroma, the picture is crystal clear and much more enjoyable than normal monitor. Also only a 20ms extra delay( home made camera test) against my 1440p Samsung monitor. Using it no problem on the desktop and cannot go back to the smaller monitors anymore. Before this I had an expensive 50" Panasonic 4k 2014 range which had some connections compatibility problems and I consider this one better as it works no problems at all. Few months ago I would have gone for the 49" at this price, if it goes down to £300 I will think about, playing game in a cinematic resolutions( ex:3840x1440, 3840x1600 or anythink) it is incredible. GPU power is not a problem as resolutions can be custom made to match GPU power, talking about non scaled resolutions and as an example you can get the equivalent of a 27"1080p monitor or a 33" 1440P on a 49"inches obiously useful if used on a desktop with a low power GPU. I use 2xgtx970

got the 43inch version when it was at £250, using it for pc/gaming and it is great. If you are upgrading from your older 1080ptv only to watch tv/video, you will be disappointed with all the 4k TV's in the market unless you will use it specifically as a 4ktv with 4k material or the best use is as a pc monitor. You will be happy only if you upgrading from, as an example , a faded plasma or a very old tv but saying so a newer 1080p tv would still be better.

Some Vestel made TV's can give half decent pictures if you spend just a little time tinkering with the settings. I was surprised how well a Toshibad 32" worked - once I'd spend 20 mins going through all the settings and turning off all the picture 'enhancements'

This may have a great picture though these are prone to early failure. I prefer to buy goods that last. If you must buy a Hitachi / Vestel, get one with 5 year warranty, these tvs are cheap for a reason.

I had one of these for about 12 hours then returned it terrible motion blur

so will probably have to spend extra on fire tv

Picture on these is good but the sound is absolutely terrible. If you use DLNA then look elsewhere as these find it impossible to hold a stable connection even on a Ethernet cable. For the money though hot.
