Use code GET40 for this price + £50 trade in for any old working/non-working TV which will be collected on delivery. So just over £400 if you have an old TV, seems a decent price.
HDR currently seems to be for local playback. Some talk on AV forums that a future update will enable Netflix HDR and via HDMI.

50 for contrast and backlight/brightness and then anything with adaptive switched OFF
Then chossing PC/Gaming mode for all sources gives a non distorted image.
Not figured out if i like the noise removing setting...

damn.......oos, looks like im paying £499 at Amazon :disappointed:
When I said "update" I meant i was updating this thread with my post... not the TV had a firmware update available if thats what you mean? My settings are the standard factory set up - as i'm not too into AV i wouldn't know what to change and by how much so left it as is. Its good enough for me and the Mrs but a keen AV person would no doubt want to tinker. I just wanted to make the Sky remote make the sound on the TV go up and down but alas no code has worked for me.

just to update. mine was delivered yesterday at 7.30am as planned. and I've just received an email from PayPal that AOL have sent me £50. so the trade in cash is almost instant. I've withdrawn it and it's already showing on my bank account so happy days. only gripe is no sky code in the world seems to work to make the sky remote work this TV.

Mines been delivered.
Not tried PC input but gaming on xbox one is good, little to no noticable input lag.
Ive got mine on game mode, colours look less saturated but ive changed a few settings as well.
Huge TV, need to find a proper stand if anyone has any suggestions?

I am guessing a lot of these will be delivered today (including mine) - so hopefully some feedback from people as they set theirs up etc.
I am going to wall mount mine later next week - in the meantime keeping my eye on the thread over at av forums for some picture setting tips etc.
I'm no expert. but that does sound perfectly legal to me. If you try out an item it is no longer new. The DSRs only allow you to examine an item (as you would be able to do in a shop) and then change your mind. If the item turns out to be faulty then that's a different matter of course.

so i ordered mine at 10 minutes past midnight last night... £499 - £40 discount - £50 trade in (got a free 14 in crt portable analogue TV on gum tree this afternoon) - £7.55 TCB that's tracked I make it £401.45 all in. oh and I couldn't select a delivery date as no options presented at all for me but they called at 9.05 this morning and arranged delivery tomorrow (Saturday) for free too. later called to give me a no doubt extended warranty sales pitch but I wasn't interested so said I had to go. never bought a non Sony, Samsung or LG TV before before but at this price for the size and specs I thought I'd give it a go.

Ridiculous money really when you consider what you're getting. Just wish they'd sort HDR out. Not convinced it could be sorted via a software update.
You want them to do it yet will not order from them because they are doing it?
Makes sense.

Maybe they have committed to it and just trying to convince themselves it was a good buy. I could only judge if i saw a angled view of it on a wall.

In case you are thinking you may return...
Here's some additional things you need to know
*If you've used the product
We're happy for you to unpack the item and inspect it properly, however, if you've used or installed it, we will only make a partial refund to cover the loss in value of the product. Please note, this could be up to 50% of the price of the item. Your refund will be made within 14 days of collection.
For this alone, regardless of price, it's a cold (for the retailer).

Good deal, but not sure if I should wait for the 58 inch version. The old LTDN58K700 is now £599 with 6 years guarantee @ richer sounds.

According to the thread on AVforums the TV Doesn't appear anywhere near as fat as the dimensions suggest, tho one advantage of a fatter system is the sound is usually better as the speakers have space to breathe.

Pictures of the tv are very deceiving from AO. Snipping out the real thickness/Depth of the tv to make it appear a lot thinner than it is, which at 8.4cm is more than twice as thick as my current £379 55" tv. :disappointed: I reckon will look stupid on my wall, but if anyone has pictures of theirs on the wall then please share.

Hi
I think local playback on hdr means via the inbuilt media player only.
I can confirm the GET40 code works for just the tv - I tried to get a further £50 off by ticking the trade in an old tv box - but price stayed the same at £459 - so I went through with it anyway and got offered free Saturday delivery.
10 minutes later I get a phone call from AO.COM checking delivery address etc - lady said I could get £50 for trading in an old tv - I said I tried it on the site but couldn't get the discount to come off the final total - she explained its a cashback type deal and that if I had an old tv I would qualify for it - I asked if an old big back tv would be ok - she had to go and check and said that's fine.
So she enabled the £50 cashback as well on my order - so all done for £409.00 with free saturday delivery !

Not true. The discount code works just for the TV:
The GET40 promo code is applicable if you are adding the Soundbar option with that discount but you will need to phone them up.
