Also careful with any warranties you may need a qualified installer or meet certain conditions to install to receive the 10 year guarantee

17 May 16#18
At this price just buy a spare set and just do it again when it looks bad.
The warranty will be for manufacturers defects which is pretty much the top layer delaminating, which isn't likely to happen.
If it gets wet you won't be covered. Sun damage won't be covered. Worn through the laminate won't be covered (overly high traffic).
So in reality the warranty will be pretty pointless, which is why they will give you 10 years.

Bargain.
If you're looking for thicker laminate, check out Wickes. I got some fantastic stuff, it was the cheapest by far (compared to howdens, b&q, Homebase, local independent stores) and looks great.
I went on a weekend that it was on promotion, plus £20 off £100 spend.
They let me return the unopened packs 4 months after the original purchase too.

There is a calculator on the home base web site. Measure a room. So a 3x3m room (small bedroom) = 9sq foot. You need to allow for 10% wastage at least. Each pack is under under 3qm so you need 4 packs really for a 3x3 room as an example.

Just picked up a few packs for the house and I think they are a bargain for 2 quid each - the quality isn't bad either. It's all relative - if you are on a budget then of course they are worth it - if you can afford more, of course 10 or 12 mm thickness is going to be better but cost you a lot more. I am quite happy with my bargain.
Mentos
17 May 16#111
TBH its pointless, if its similar to the warranty with other flooring. A picture of the damage will suffice, but all you'll get is replacement boards. You then have to rip up the flooring to replace the damaged boards yourself. Which isn't a trivial task with laminate unless the boards that need replacing are near then end of a run :/
If you need it to last 10 years, best to ensure (as much as possible) the product is good rather than thinking a warranty will help you.
