Not sure about legitimacy of this website. On this airexpress.co.uk they are showing return flight to India just £190. Normal price 400+. It's too good to be true and I am sure they will come back asking more money

I'm almost certain that it will hold up in Court. Can you tell me who actually reads the T's & C's? And how can you agree to something you haven't read? You may just be selling your soul by buying a packet of crisps online for all you know. As consumers we're protected in such situations. Refer to The Sale of Goods Act 1979 if you want statutory support.
Now you're right, I could have taken things further. But on a cost-benefit analysis (something I have to do on a daily basis as a lawyer), it would be better to cut the matter short than incurring further costs and time and dragging it out. Hence the reason I offered them two options. Either the ticket or the additional £100.
They snapped at the latter option because it would save them £100 with the tickets being priced at approximately £300. I'm also happy with getting an extra £100 by sending two emails so it's a mutually beneficial result.

Well done for you but I am sure using the excuse 'its not reasonable to read through the tc's' would not hold up in court. Otherwise you wouldn't be accepting the goodwill gesture and would take this further.

Under English law, there are three requirements for a contract to be formed:
1. An offer (the website offering a return ticket for £106.34)
2. Acceptance (booking/paying for the return ticket)
3. Consideration from both parties (paying for the ticket and them promising to provide the ticket)
Now, if it was a matter of them providing a confirmation email rather than taking the actual money, the price displayed on the website would instead be an invitation to treat rather than an offer. An invitation to treat can be likened to walking into a supermarket and seeing a price tag on a product on the shelf. Just seeing the price tag doesn't mean that it is an offer. You need to pick it up and take it to the till when it becomes your offer to the supermarket. In the immediate situation, payment was immediately taken and an email expressly stating this and therefore the price displayed was actually an offer. There wasn't a step in between.
In relation to the T's and C's, it isn't reasonable for a consumer to read through these especially if they are accessible through a separate link. Had they been displayed on the same page at the time of payment then maybe they would have an argument as to that.
In any event, I secured myself an extra £100.00 in addition to the 'fast refund'. I would advise that you push for the same as well.

I would love to see where the English law overides their quite obvious terms and conditions. It seems every time a glitch deal comes up everyone is suddenly a law graduate.

13 May 161#88
Can you provide us with a quote/link of this 'English law'?
When buying the tickets last night, you ticked a little box on the Air Express website stating that you agreed to their T&Cs, one of which was:
'Where inaccuracies relate to the understatement of the price of a specific product you will be offered either a full refund of money paid on that booking only or the opportunity to maintain that booking on receipt of the additional payment which is necessary.'
I have advised that I do not want the refund either. A contract was formed under English law. I expect performance i.e. the return flight to Dubai.

The bang you heard during takeoff could be one of many things. It's human nature for it to sh  t us up, but it was clearly nothing as you made it and didn't need to make an emergency landing. We remember these moments because at the time, we're in a huge metal object that's somehow defying (thanks to huge jet engines) what is normal. For lots of people, even regular, confident flyers, the first time they hear something unusual, they're suddenly aware of this again!

Its a brilliant price but then again doubt they will honor it. Having said that, I personally would never fly with Turkish Airlines ever again.
Let me share my experience of Turkish Airlines with you......I booked a trip with them last year to Dubai and it was cheap and it was around 40kg luggage allowance but the experience was terrible. The aircrafts that they use are old and worn out, the flight crew barely smile its like they are on slavery wages that they must be that miserable. The food was cold as well. Throughout the whole flight both on the way and the return, there was constant turbulence and I'm not talking about the odd lil few bumps and shakes, this felt like something worse. I couldn't sleep or relax. The worst bit was prob on the way back from Dubai where the pilot announced "We would like to apologize for the delay but at the moment we are waiting for the brakes to cool off, so we will be taking off after 45 minutes. " I was like cheers for the honesty but will we make it? lol So finally it begins to take off and then there was this really loud bang during take off, something which I've never heard happen during a take off, my brother sitting beside me woke up and was like "What the f... was that?!!!" I'm like ermmm dunno but its too late to get out now lol
I could chalk it down to maybe a one off, bad luck or something but to be honest I would rather pay the lil bit extra and fly with a better trusted airline where I know the service will be good and have a smooth flight. To sum it up, flying with Turkish Airlines was like jumping in your mate's old beat up banger then going through the whole route full of deep pot holes.

Yeah a few years ago. I went to Venice and got a room in the Crowne Plaza for 1p for two nights found on hukd in 2010 but my point was that now nearly every time a company generates a bit of excitement by an 'accidental glitch' the company just pleads error and cancels your deal after pocketing a massive mailing list for free which they can no doubt sell on to anyone else that fancies flogging you stuff. Yes I do tick the box saying don't contact me but still they come.

Alot of HUKD'ers went to NY for around £160 return not so long ago on a deal I posted. I don't know what 'pants deals' you are talking about but with any glitch or error you win some you lose some!
found £100 tickets but Turkish airlines added surcharge of £100 (insurance/fuel etc)
frank321
12 May 16#52
When in recent years has any company actually honoured a deal of this magnitude? Especially once it has been posted on hukd and the losses will bankrupt the company through cashflow shortage. No it's definitely not going to happen with booking agents that earn pennies on the pound for their bookings but if you fancy a bit of excitement and false hope, give it a whirl. Think of it as a lottery ticket that has a c**p jackpot but will pay you back in full if your numbers don't come up. It's bad enough all these pants holiday deals but when they are now posting system errors as a deal, you know hukd's deays are numbered.
