It does, but if you think that automatically stops it from being one of the most playable games of this century then frankly that's a shame, because you'll be missing out on a real gem.

You might find this get more heat if you make it a bit more clear that this is the game + the expansion. As it stands the deal sort of reads like this is just the price for the expansion (which is free)

Well worth getting the CE mod after you play the base game for a while and the AE mode as CE adds a whole lot of further playability. Easily 80 odd hours of gameplay in each.
I've been in love with FTL as it's supremely pick up and play. Aided by the ability to pause and come back again later and that encounters generally are quite short but often intense so you feel like you have achieved a lot with very little play time.

Graphics isn't everything, great to see the indie scene flourishing on the PC.

You can also pick up Shadowrun Dragonfall Directors Cut DRM free for £2.09 on this sale, well worth it
I take it you've never purchased many bundle deal games. That look tends to be quite typical of indie developers. Especially considering this game was made by a single game artist, a single programmer and a single composer. Not that bad for 3 people considering the following this game has.

This game is insanely addictive. Have it on the iPad as well, works really well with a touchscreen.

It really was the perfect port to IPad! One of the rare occasions I've got into a game with touchscreen controls.

Heat added. great price for a fantastic game.
As you can see, I'm quite a fan...
Thanks for the heads up about the CE mod, Astec1233. I'll have to check that out.
Still haven't completed the game with every ship, but I'm getting close. Have completed with most on easy, and a couple on normal.
Vulcan gun ftw.

Vulcan heathen! Though they are good fun when you get a good run with one, I've not even managed into the 200hours of play yet, but it's a game I go back to again and again. Being honest, even most of the challenges I've not bothered to complete intentionally as just doing a run for the fun of it still appeals.

This is one of the best games I have probably ever played. Super addictive, really varied, and rarely leaves you satisfied so you will always come back for more - FTL is the best £2 I spent back in the day. Also the music is excellent!

FTL and Shadow Run: Dragonfalls for about the price of Fish and Chips is an easy buy.

I have well over 400 games on Steam.
FTL currently has most hours played out of all of them - and I still hope it eventually gets an Android port.

All of those games you have just mentioned are from the last century, so it makes sense that they'd look like games from the last century.

Been hearing so much about this game since release but never tried it. Let's see how it goes.

The point I believe foes4you was implying was that as FTL looks like it was made last century it then isn't worth bothering with as the comment appears to be about the poor nature of the graphics. The games I have listed have poor quality graphics by todays standards but are still quality games that have stood the test of time due to brilliant gameplay.
Alternatively, look at The Binding Of Issac: Rebirth, Crypt Of The Necrodancer, Nuclear Throne etc. All made relatively recently but look like they could have been made 20 years ago. They're still incredibly fun to play.

Kind of, but not really. Foes4you is not suggesting that no video game made in the 20th century is a good game. The objection is that a game is released now with graphics like that. The point that we both agree on being that to concentrate on the graphics is a mistake, because the game is brilliant, but simply listing quality games from 20 years ago doesn't address the issue.
On a side note but potentially contentious note, Goldeneye has not stood the test of time. The FPS genre has come on leaps and bounds since Goldeneye. Whilst I am not doubting its quality at the time, it is not a quality game now. An irrelevant point to make, but one that I've made anyway.

This is a great game. Yes it harks back to old school gaming, but it doesnt make it any less enjoyable. No freemium gaming or crap like that. Top fun and a basement price!
