It's really strange, though. The game is over 20 years old. Besides, the shareware version is enough for me.

Okay, fair enough - you'd said "just purchased" in your previous post, which I'd taken at face value. Best of luck with getting it sorted.

You're almost certainly not going to just be given a free key here, I'm afraid - the game still costs c.£20 to buy. Unfortunately, this promotion ended a week ago, which will most likely be why you're not getting a copy of the game.

Hi.
Has anyone got a spare doom steam key please.

I emailed them over the weekend but haven't received any sort of response. How long did it take for you? and did you use the UK promo email address given on the website?

Amazon have this on their promotion page, so it looks like their approach is the same as for box.co.uk:
We will send you an e-mail with a free redemption code and instructions on how to redeem. You can redeem the DOOM game between 00:01 BST May 16, 2016 and 23:59 BST July 21, 2016, or while stocks last.

Is it inside the box the monitor comes in or is it meant to be emailed to you?

I had to email them my serial and they manually added it to their system. I was then able to redeem it.

Yes very pleased. Was either this or the Acer. Was playing DOOM on it last night in 21:9 mode. Not really a gamer as the set up is meant to be for my kids.

Thanks! I ordered the Asus VX278H as I was after a decent gaming monitor (nothing too fancy) to replace my crappy old one. Free copy of Doom is a real bonus plus that monitor is cheaper today than ever according to camelcamelcamel.

Doom is fantastic btw. Watched DansGaming play through it because sadly I don't have a video card to do it justice. If it's that much fun watching it I can only imagine how good it is to play. High octane, slaughter demons over and over with a variety of weapons including the BFG and chainsaw. You can only save in checkpoints, which only adds to the adrenaline.
They did an even better job with this than they did with Wolfenstein: New Order.

It's only on monitors at Amazon, it's on monitors and motherboards as well at other suppliers, eg Box, CCL, Scan, Ebuyer etc.

That is a recent change in the last few days... the original ASUS site had Amazon SARL as an included motherboard vendor.
So glad you didn't post the 'your mom' version of that

Shame the cheapest monitor is £156, and out of stock. I'd be very tempted if there was something for around £120. No space for a 27 inch.

I noticed Aria said the same thing about qualifying gaming motherboards. "Purchase a qualifying gaming motherboards from Aria.."
Underneath the banner that, presumably, ASUS provided, they have that written, but on ASUS's redemption portal, it just states qualifying boards/monitors.
