Can't find a link for this anywhere, but if you check your iD Mobile account you should have 500MB data in there for free to celebrate iD Mobile's first birthday.
Just pointing it out as it only lasts for a month so use the data up or you'll lose it.
If you're a new customer ask their customer service team to top you up but I doubt anyone would join just for the free 500MB data.

Well it is because you're not paying for it.
It's free in addition to whatever you would get in your contract anyway.

We've just moved to a new place with no broadband yet and it's interesting because there is one room that neither myself or the other half can get the data to work. She's on O2 and I'm on iD. It will show 3G on my screen, 4G on hers, but neither will work.
Everywhere else I've been the 4G/3G is great (I cycle a lot all over Edinburgh and the surrounding areas and borders and my data use is low but it needs to be consistent). Other thing I notice is that I'll get kicked off 4G and on to 3G sometimes and the missus will still be on 4G on O2.
If it wasn't for the one room in the new place then I'd have said my time with iD since I joined early Jan has been flawless. On the other hand, I guess I now have a Mi5 proof room and can plot my domination of a cake factory.

Been with ID for just over a month on £4 deal - excellent  I don't require high usage and very little data - the contract suits me fine  I was able to keep my old number also.

I have liked all the comments crediting ID Mobile on this thread, great little network provider. I joined last July on one of those excellent Huawei P8 deals. Good signal, good app, no issues to date!

I've had issues. The app has reported inaccurate balances which has lead to me incurring bills. It won't even load at the minute!
£100/GB should be illegal.
They never responded to my complaint.

Cos they are so bad they have decided to give stuff away in the hope people won't talk about how bad they are!
Hot cos it's free regardless!

I've been using ID for a year now, they are far superior to Virgin whom I was last on and my girlfriend has O2, she got next to no signal on our w/e to Wales and also has to call me through wifi when shes at home due to her reception, but when I'm there ID has a couple of bars of signal. The ID app is great for letting you know what minutes/data you have left. It's been an excellent provider and puts most big name providers to shame. (I have used Vodafone and Orange before also).

ID are useless. My partner had been with them 11 months last month and called to ask to move onto a sim only plan. They could not process moving to a different contract at the end of your plan so told her to order a new contract at the end of the month and they would provide a PAC code to move over. She did this and when she called they tried to move it and then said they could not move ID to ID so suggested she went to carphone warehouse, bought a PAYG for another network, moved to that, then requested another PAC then moved back to this new account she had now set up. The next morning they closed her old account and when she tried the PAC it was dead and she has now lost a number she has had for 12 years. Incompetent pile of plonkers, not worth the pain of dealing with

This is true. I have called customer services to cancel my 1 Year contract which comes to an end in the next month, and I wanted to move onto this deal. I was told that I would have to switch to another network and then back again on the phone by CS.
I've just picked up the £300 Huawei P9 deal from Vodafone (I hate Vodafone), so I'll transfer to them and back again. It's a bit of a pain but for the money I save and the service from ID, I think it's worth it.

Should be giving all the customers free service for a year to celebrate their 1 year anniversary? Maybe that will make you happy?

Free Data - well sort of !!! - read the t&c's and you find out you get 500mb data free - which can be used once you have used all your current data and any bolt on data packages - so free data only if you go over your normal data allowance.

Bizarre argument. If your data deal is originally for, say, 1GB a month then you now have 1.5GB to use this month. Some right curmudgeons on here. Jeez. Genuinely make me shake my head...

iD have been pretty much faultless for me, 4g signal is nice to have and very fast, so maybe its a regional thing? I'm in Cumbria.

iD do seem to have a tendancy to prefer 3G. Occasionally the phone doesn't log onto 4G even though i know the location has it. Vodafone used to prefer 2G for some reason.
Has anyone managed to get iD 4G voice working on VoLTE? My phone can see iDs 4G 800 MHz network but can only log onto the 1800 MHz one.
