You could try not washing your socks along with the glasses. It took me years to learn the error of my ways.

Avoid buying finish from Poundland.
bought one recently and had to throw it away.
was leaving the dishes with white dust on them, definitely not genuine, replaced with finish bought from Asda and my dishes are clean again.
Believe me, I've tried several washes as thought my dishwasher is the problem until I realized it is the finish from Poundland. waste of money and time to rewash. definitely don't recommend

Bought a box of finish dishwasher tablets from Poundland for £8. Used one for the first time today, dishes covered in white residue, my blue Denby cutlery is badly stained on the handles, I'm struggling to remove the white stain and bring back the sheen. Never had any problem with Finish dishwasher tablets in the past. Avoid these fakes!!!

Don't buy these, you will have to bin them. We bought for £8 in our local Poundland. All the kitchen stuff is now covered in a white chalky substance. We bought rinse aid and salt (which we've never had to use before) and this only marginally improved the situation. Not fit for purpose.

These tabs work fine with my dishwasher. I'm off to buy more. I do live in a soft water area don't know if that has anything to do with it. but at 5p a tab I'm not complaining as I normally class 10p a tab as a great buy. each to there own I suppose. <3

I bought these on Monday and have had similar experience to earlier post, has left dishes and glasses in a right state, these were the ones with the red ball in the middle. Thought the problem was dishwasher until I saw this on HUKD.

Bought a box recently, and only just started using, on a 50c wash it left a dirty sandy residue on most items, but increased it to 65c and seems OK, but the Persil one's from Poundstretcher I've used before were far better!

If only glasses came out of the dishwasher looking as shiny and clean as the one on the packet instead of feeling "dusty" and smelling stale.

Used to buy these until I discovered fairy dishwasher tablets which are leagues ahead of finish classic power ball.
The dishwasher is shiny, the dishes cleaner and the glasses aren't going cloudy like they used to.
Fairy is worth the extra imo when you buy them on special offer (half price of less is generally available at one supermarket or another!).

Thanks, just bought a load for my restaurant. I can guarantee these are not fakes as we compared packaging as well as the end result following the All in one and these. Thanks Op, heat added!

The ones in Poundland are proper Finish but the Finish Classic Powerball which are only sold through discount retailers now.
All in one is the lowest available variety in supermarkets.
They still do a good job but not to the same degree as All In One, All In One Max or Quantum for example!

Worth adding that the reason the Finish Classic sold in Poundland doesn't work as well is that it doesn't contain salt or Rinse Aid, you're supposed to buy that separately and add it to the dispensers in the dishwasher. Personally I find it easier, more convenient and just as cheap to buy the All In One when its on offer somewhere.

You would think but it's worse than you could imagine, not just restricted to eBay sellers which is a massive industry even the likes of batteries are faked. Have a look at the story, there are other examples.
You also have to be careful with grey imports, common bringing in products from another country which are not the same as here even down to the actual product inside the bottle, years ago when the kids were you we got some Ace clothing bleach, sticker in English on the outside of the box from a pound shop, was actually normal bleach sold in a similar bottle in Kazakhstan.
