Further, it is without the 2nd year guarantee and without the £60 tidy kit that Dyson were offering.

Think you may have been lucky with this one, as Maplin T&Cs sate that in order to price match it must be in stock elsewhere and it's not in stock at John Lewis. Suppose it's still worth a try if you want one, but not guaranteed

hmmm I sent an e-mail to maplin price match..with details from John Lewis website with the £118.97 price and asked them if they would match the price..the response above is what I got from them..then i noticed that they will give a voucher to be used in store for £20 if you spend over £100.. the dyson dc48 is on its way to me..I will try and see if I can Get the few tools from Dyson afterwards..

I'm not saying you'll get the kit mentioned extensively in this thread but dyson were saying they'd give me a kit based on a DC34 I bought and registered on 31/03/16

sent them ( dyson ) saying that i tried to purchase online and on phone and couldnt get the deal ... so was resigned to buying from maplin and would they as a good will gesture send me the toolkit if i sent them details of my other dyson products ... they said YES :smiley:

When ordering, I asked if the units were new & was assured that they were. Mine arrived and has very clearly been used!! Contacted Maplin for a replacement & they assured me, again, the replacement will be a Brand New one! We will see;-((

got my kit from Dyson yesterday .. lovely bag to put all bits in also :smiley:
