Toolkit arrived yesterday. Got the delay email this morning and then Lo and behold the DC58 showed up in the afternoon. Happy days!

27 May 16#130
So I have now received the toolkit, just no DC58 to use it with... oh well, tbh, I can't really blame them, it was a special offer and obviously oversubscribed.
For those still asking - the toolkit contains an upholstery cleaner for matresses etc, a duster head for blinds and an over the top cleaner for cleaning the top of cupboards all in a nice Dyson folding bag.
What planet are you on? it's abs plastic which is the same stuff Lego is made out of. Have you ever stood on a piece of Lego and come out better off?

Thanks OP ordered the DC58 Animal this morning at bargain price + free toolkit. Bargains like this don't come around all the time so appreciate effort of HUKD members who contribute to this site. Thanks. Told missus I ordered her a surprise , don't think she's expecting a hoover
It looks cheap, it feels cheap, but I have bashed the hell out of mine and it has never cracked.
The thing with plastic is that if it looks and feels nice that usually means its quite brittle and more likely to break.

they are wrong, Dyson gentleman just offered me the more expensive hand held with free tidy kit, plus another free tidy kit as I bought one 2 months ago, as a "good will gesture" (making 2 free kits!!).

They do have the kit. My order notice states the item is not available. I called them back and was told that their systems are showing as out of stock due to the high interest and when their systems refresh after 12pm it will show as back in stock. Call back after 12. So after realising my haste, I decided I wanted the free accessory kit too. Called Dyson, waited for ever for someone to answer and was told that the free accessory kit is only available to those who order by phone (and stock is now very limited), and since I ordered online, I was excluded. Anyway, I got my free accessory kit after threatening to cancel my order and order on the phone there and then. They confirmed that it's in the post.

Got two of these (refub but looks factory fresh) with a one year gaurantee from eBay dyson outlet. £86.40 each delivered with the 20% off eBay recent offer on 31/03/16
To sum up the filters need washing every month. This means doing without the DC34 for 24 hours while the filter is air drying.
I missed the DC34 so much in that day I bought a non-dyson filter as a 'spare' from amazon for about a fiver.
So I rate this VERY highly.
Two further points:
Must always be used on max so gives approx 6 minutes clean time (I found battery actually improved)
Ideal for cat litter hoovering and car, small spills around the house etc.
Used daily.
Feel free to ask any queries. It looks like the maybe a refresh with longer battery soon, but 6 minutes is suprisingly long.
