So, I thought I had the PS+ version but I cannot find or see it anywhere. Had a quick look but can't see a definitive answer. Can you just buy this game and get the full game and DLC if you DON'T own the PS+ version?
I am not asking if you need PS+ to buy it.

I haven't got a PS4 anymore as I went to the green side but when I did I loved this game. HEAT!

I'd pick this up. I have both and just found Project Cars to be quite dull.

A lot of game for the money. I bought this bundle when it 9.99 and thought it was a steel. Must buy at this price.

Completed every single event for the game and all the DLCs when working on this, not sure whether it'd be worth doing it all again for all the trophies. Actually, couldn't quite get the 'wet lap' I think, maybe worth getting it just to finish it off and do that last race

I bought Project Cars for my X1 on day 1 and have barely touched it. It was nigh on impossible to play with a controller until they patched it, but even then it is really twitchy. I do play on hardcore driving style but even when I played on the less forgiving control modes it was still the same.
If you have a wheel and pedals then go for it, if you don't then don't get it. I prefer the Forza games and play with virtually all assists off and it is way better.

Tempted- anyone have an opinion between this and project cars?
dunc360
25 May 161#67
Just because it's neither an arcade racer or a full- blown sim doesn't make it a bad game.
I loved it because it's pick up and play - it's hard enough to be a challenge in places but forgiving enough on the whole to make it one you want to come back to again and again (at least I did).
It's somewhere between GT/Project Cars and Need for speed in terms of driving mechanics for those that haven't played it yet.

I think you're wrong. If this game had been re-reviewed 12 months after launch it would have been up there in the 90's. I can't think of any other game where the developers have worked so hard to iron out faults and they eventually provided a near-perfect racing game.

I'll let you off on this occasion but don't do it again.
I am just pondering whether to buy this or not as I got over 70 quid in my wallet but I prefer physical and am a bit of a steelbook nut too so I tend to only buy digital when titles are digital only.
Talking of digital I've just noticed where I had Bully in my cart from before it's dropped from 12 quid down to £7.39 which is a pleasant surprise but I still don't want to pay more than a fiver for it if I'm honest

From an Xbox One owner this a very good deal. I played the game on a friends PS4 and really liked it, however Forza Horizon 2 is much better and FH3 is out this year (not trying to start a fanboy war here as I am very soon going to be buying a PS4 and will be getting DriveClub as racing games are my fave genre).

They should both continue from the PS+ version which was just a cut-back snippet of the full game.
disc would have some resale value but the digital version is so cheap with the season pass I would plump for that one.

Right, can anyone clear this up.
So there's a listing for the full game (non-PS Plus Edition) and the listing for this. I noticed in the description it states:
"Your progress WILL continue from DRIVECLUB™ PlayStation®Plus Edition when you upgrade."
How does this differ to the disc based version? It states it's the full game in the description with the added season pass. I'm just wondering which would be more desirable?

24 May 161#11
A season pass is essentially a way they get you to buy a predetermined amount of DLC all in one go for most of the time it covers all DLC but sometimes this isn't always the case.
Also it tends to be priced cheaper than the individual items totaled up but it's hit and miss as to whether all or any of it is any good

Bought this when it popped up for 7.99 a couple of months ago and it's very good. The season pass brings a lot of content. With the full game and pass there are like 1,000 tour events. As far as I'm aware there are only 2 tour packs which aren't included in the game/season pass.

Fancy treating this to a mate when I played this game on his ps4 but half of the cars or locations seems to have to be paid for. He isn't on "Playstation plus membership" - won't want to bother multiplay anyway, but can he still play with the extra cars and locations?
