I have the brass effect ones in my house two have failed. The latch has snapped off. Also the top clear coat has started pealing off on one. You get what you pay for. Priced low enough if they last a few years. Mine lasted 4 and 6 years.

Fitted these on all the doors in my house a few years ago. Look great and do the job but they don't last long. They require attention every year, but not bad for the price.
