I hate the smell fo garlic, always have. But to keep the biting insects away, it's apparently the business!
I'm allergic to insect bites. Usually swell up like a balloon!
Got bitten on Monday by some f. gnat thing, drew blood. Now my hand is the size of a fat man's hand and itching like ****!
Neighbour said, 'well, if you had stuck to my advice about eating loads of garlic, the critter wouldn't have bitten you!'
He stinks of garlic all the time.
Think I shall be getting the garlic bread tomorrow. Just hope I don't get bitten again in the meantime!
Then the barsteward said, 'Oh Nigel it won't protect you against the killer Hornets on the way!'
You what?
It's in the news, killer hornets coming.
Oh **** off!
edit
Just read online they are (might!) be coming here. Think I better stay at the keyboard and lock the windows!

Oh jeezus! No it's not the Wail, it's worse it's the Mirror!
The invasion is on, where are our f. border controls
Free movement of people, now free movement of alien creatures!
How long before this becomes a 'permanent' thing? Seems like every fortnight now.
What with Waitrose 'Dinner for Two' now appearing regularly (used to about once a year!) how long before theirs is every fortnight.
We had the Waitrose one last Friday, it was really nice, so went back in to get another on the Saturday (and pick up the (on here) dreaded hated daily Wail for the Lego - well, why not? It's free if you spend a tenner) and had asparagus tips as a side dish again. This time they were absolutely f. awful! This has just reminded me to complain (get a voucher hopefully!).
One tip, if you don't already know, as there are usual complaints about the wine. In Waitrose, don't just pick up from the 2 wines on display, go round to the wine aisle and check the display tickets - not so many this time - but there will be other wines 'available with Dinner for Two' marked up. I grabbed a wine over £8 the previous time and it was really, really nice. Forgot what it was called!

Two beers in exchange for a bottle of wine does not seem good. Would have expected 4 bottles of their beer for a bottle of wine.
