Would you give it out for free if you had your own business? I think £1.80 for remastered games is a bargain considering they are £11.99 if you don't own them. I pre purchased them, I didn't even have to think about it.
It also ends at the end of the month so people still have time to grab cheap copies of the originals.

PayPal will cover you if anything is untoward about the transaction. G2A's cover policy is just a sham. As a supposedly reputable outlet they should be ensuring that everything they sell is legitimate anyway.

Does anyone have a spare key for "normal" dead island riptide they might like to trade something for?
i never picked it up in recent bundles as i had the normal dead island, and i still have riptide sealed for my Xbox360.
but then i can get riptide remastered cheaper too as on steam i only own the first one?
if anyone can help out i'd be very apreciative.

What other games have released new versions that have included both graphical overhauls and all DLC for free? Most games with DLC eventually become available in a GOTY or Complete edition, but they're not given out for free to people who just have the base game - it's buy a season pass or buy the complete version. And games don't usually get graphical overhauls for free - I know some have, but just as many if not more have been released as separate versions where you have to pay again. One thing's for sure - those that make you pay again normally charge more than £1.80 to existing owners, so this is a pretty good deal.
I use G2A a lot, never had tax added and you can just turn G2A shield off, plus there's usually a discount code for at least 3% or 5% off.
But then I'm thinking that those selling cheap copies are probably just people who already own the old games and are able to buy gifts at £1.80 each, so perhaps someone here will be able to buy it for you at that price even if you don't have the originals. I'll take a look...

why is there an extra 39p that wants to be added whether paying by credit card or paypal then? this is the sort of thing happened before.. (the hidden charges) so why arent they upfront about this before you get to the end of the checkout process?
obviosuly i know i can untick G2A shield, but then there are risks involved if its not legit.

None of the charges are hidden - plenty of places charge payment fees (I use Just Eat for takeaways and they charge a 50p debit card surcharge, and Parcel2Go charge 2% for paying with Paypal - it's not uncommon), so just choose whatever method is cheapest. You're right about G2A Shield - if you don't pay it, you've got less recourse if something goes wrong, so that's up to you and whether you want the peace of mind or not. Personally I've never used it and I've never had a problem - just stick to sellers with lots of good feedback and you should be okay, although obviously I can't guarantee anything (unless you're buying from me!). I see what you mean about tax - it used to be set to outside EU, so 0%, by default but now it's set to 20% by default. You can just change it though - I don't think you'll get into trouble. I've just had a quick check and discount code FRAGS should get you 3% off if that helps.
But anyway, what I was saying was that, because I own the originals, I can buy gift copies of the Definitive Editions for £1.80, so if you wanted the remastered versions without getting the originals, you could just get someone to buy them for you.
That's a good point - have you had a problem on G2A and had to claim through Paypal? It can't be easy for them to ensure everything they sell is legitimate as they don't actually sell anything themselves - they're a marketplace with lots of individual sellers, like eBay, so problems do inevitably arise for various reasons, but they do have key verification processes in place as well as seller feedback so it wouldn't be that easy to intentionally scam people on there.

Yes twice unfortunately. The first time I bought an xblg 12 month code that had already been used and the second time was for a pre-order for the division which they didn't bother to send. The second occasion was unacceptable as well really since they were selling it themselves, it wasn't a 3rd party seller. On both occasions their support dept didn't reply to any emails so I had to go through PayPal.
reddragon105
11 May 16#26
Their support has been pretty good the couple of times I've had to use it, although to be fair that was just for general questions and they were pretty friendly on live chat. If you've got a problem with a key I guess they'll just refer you to the seller and you'll have to try to work it out with them and they'll fight tooth and nail to keep the money (unless they're really honest). As for your Division key, though - if it was a pre-order the key wouldn't have been available until release day or just before (it does say something to that effect on all preorders on G2A).

11 May 16#27
How did you get it for that price? I've found it at £2.56, removed shield and said I'm outside the EU, but it's still adding 38p at the paypal checkout. How did you set things?

started playing the original a year ago and it was fun but the graphics looked really quite bad. I found some texture packs but installing them was a pain and they didn't fix everything so I have bought these to bring the game back from the dead (see what I did there?). I paid only £5.33 for the franchise pack a year ago so £10 all in is a great deal for these games remastered.

No it was after release day came and went and the key didn't arrive that I took objection. At first I emailed them and they said that demand had outstretched supply so they couldn't fulfill all the orders they had. I replied asking for a refund and got a wall of silence so I had to go through PayPal.
They're just a typical Chinese company at the end of the day unfortunately. They're completely unreliable and should be avoided.

I am pretty sure I ran dead island originally in 'HD' (jank n all) on my PC  games like wasteland 2 just recently gave a free director cut where it has been rebuilt in a new engine version with improved gameplay and graphics. Divinity original sin is another that added substantial improvement to it and was free to owners... Witcher 2 ... Still, heated as this is super cheap and effectively free

I'm on the fence about whether I want Retro Revenge or not so I've bought one one Definitive Collection at £6.75 and then extra individual copies of Dead Island + Riptide Definitive Editions at £1.80 each and I'll just trade whatever I don't keep. So these are all just sitting in my inventory as gift copies and I should be able to give them to whoever I want and I still have the option to buy more. The trading forums are already flooded with cheap copies so I assume this is how people are getting them. If you're still stuck let me know and I'll see if I can get you a copy for £1.80.
Yeah that gets me as well - it would have run at 720p on the PS3 and 360, which were considered 'HD' consoles at the time, so are they now saying that they weren't really HD and only 1080p, or 'full' HD, is real HD? But it's been playing at 1080p or higher on PC since day one, so are they now saying that it just wasn't made properly for HD? Like the textures were really low resolution or something? The game is 4.5 years old now, so saying it's a remaster is fine because there's a lot of improvements that could be made to a game that old (and it does look a lot better), but putting 'HD' in as a selling point is a bit ridiculous.
