Register them on steam, then look up the definitive versions on steam - should give the option to buy them cheap or in a bundle with a 3rd game.

What's the cost to upgrade to the Definitive Collection (including Retro Revenge) on Steam? Away from a computer. I got the Humble Bundle and the Dead Island Collection is showing as a £5.61 upgrade on Humble store. You need to select the 75% off coupon at the checkout on Humble.

Yes but if you buy both from ebay dead island and riptide £4 or under for both then upgrade on steam £1.80 = £7.60

Even though they aren't labelled as such in the Steam store, they are available for Linux/SteamOS as well as MS Windows. I don't know about Mac OSX.
(The individual remasters at least, don't know about the retro garbage bonus game)
