Crazy cheap price. Shouldn't really complain at this price, but I will - Dual sim or 1 x sim 1 x MicroSD and no notification light. Otherwise, great spec for the money.

Ordered one with the TCB. Really can't knock the value - and the build is rather premium for a China phone! I also measured it compared to my Blu Win HD LTE (5" screen) - it is only v.marginally bigger...and is also thinner.

Was tempted to order one for myself - but having used an iPhone 4S for a while, I'm really taken with small phones! The iPhone SE is my ideal phone right now (shame it's so expensive)

You could do a hell of a lot worse than XIAOMI Redmi 3 Pro. 5 inch screen, good camera, 3gb RAM, huge battery, decent processor, fingerprint sensor. Main disadvantage is not all UK 4G bands

These are very good value for money. I have one as spare phone and only thing I am not happy about is battery, one day it last lot longer and next day it goes very very quickly even it stays home connected to wifi. Dual sim is really useful.

It's more like 260 but it won't be that price for much longer. In my experience, putting the money toward a better manufacturer is a reasonable thing to do because of problems with build quality of Chinese phones and lack of support.

That said, I don't know much about Cubot but I would stay well clear of the likes Doogee or Elephone.

Incidentally the Redmi Note 3 is 111 quid at the moment if you don't mind holding your nose and using Gearbest. Personally I think the extra money is worth it over this Cubot thing.

Better build quality, likely to get updated more, a smaller screen and from one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in the world. Much more likely to get Android 6.0 than this Cubot thing.

Problems- the Note 3 doesn't support all UK 4G bands but this may be resolved as it should, and it doesn't come with the play store installed but if you can get past that it's a better deal in my opinion.

bought 3 x doogee x5 pro, and another on way, great phone camera not best but great for under 50, friend has cubot son works for major tech co and they issue them. yes no support and not I phone but completely sold on high end cheap Chinese models. nearly clean android is a big bonus.can't justify buying this but must resist

I decided to cancel the order myself - figured a 5.5" screen on a phone was just too big. Went for the 5" Ulefone Paris instead for £56. Slightly better processor, better camera and an iPhone lookalike metal body with a removable battery. Seems like the better deal

I haven't bought an Android phone in a LONG time. However, I prefer the more compact dimensions and lighter weight of the Ulefone (30 grams less) - plus, it's been out for ages, so hopefully they'll have ironed out the bugs. We shall see!

I've tried a few UK courier tracking sites and none of them seem to work with my tracking code. I then tried this site - https://www.aftership.com/courier/flytexpress

The times and dates seem to correlate with the order and dispatch emails I received from Banggood. It seems like the order is coming from China rather than the EU warehouse as it was advertised...

When did you order?
I ordered an Ulefone Paris after cancelling my original Cubot order. The Ulefone despatch email came through this morning (ordered on the 29th from the EU store).
Looks like they are stalling with despatching the Cubot's for whatever reason. (The Ulefone Paris - in my opinion - is a better option anyway...and is only a few ££ more)

I finding it a very decent size for 5.5 inch screen.
Took me a while to figure to use mobile data you have to go into data usage > your network > switch mobile data on

specially dual SIM makes you think a lot. Good selection process.
Regarding the size, If you have used recent iPhone 6, this wont make much difference. I am worried about the glass back as I am prone to fall things of my hand. Need to start being careful :wink:

Anyone else getting poor battery life with this? It's 5.45pm and I'm down to 15%. Looking at the battery readout in settings and it says the screen time has been 4 hours 40 mins which has used 48% of the battery. Another 15% has been used up when the phone has been idle, ( just under 5 hours ), and the rest used up by various other processes. The phone also takes an age to charge. Is this normal?

Turning off fingerprint unlock has improved battery performance when it's idle. I've also read a review of another Cubot phone where someone comments that turning "intelligent power saving standby" off actually improves battery life, so I'm giving that a try now.

Hi faddy54, thanks for the tips! I've now changed my settings and will hopefully see an improvement! Can't seem to speed up the charging tho. I tried an app that regulates the charging process, it estimated 1hr 45 mins until fully charged, over an hour later it said 1hr 20mins left! :confused:

Looks like slow charging is endemic on these cheap China phones. I've got a Ulefone Paris that is having the same slow charging issue.

Everything else is brilliant mind you - so not a deal breaker. Just annoying
