must buy 3 to get the price reduced to £2.83 each or buy 2 for £3.18 each
note that they are high static pressure and therefore very good for radiators coolers etc... Noisy at max but I must assume that they would be very efficient for other purposes if used with a controller. I think that this is exactly what corsair does use even in their most recent 120-240mm radiators

AF implies they don't have very high static pressure and are meant as case fans, which is where the listing says they are from, the SP version is the one meant for radiators and air coolers.
The noctua redux fans are cheap and just older designs of noctua fans

These are worse than those nzxt fans... Loud as hell

Bought three (for the price of two) of the SP variety, look like the standard fans off the H100i watercooler. I'll add them to the existing fans to do push/pull in silent mode.

You'll be poor though. I loved Noctua until I needed 6 fans for radiators. I looked elsewhere rather than drop £100. I grabbed 6 Arctic cooling f12 for £20 and they were just as good noise to performance. Upgraded to 9 FQ121WC and they are even better. Noctua are still great but so overpriced - you are paying for the brand nowadays.

Spend the cash on Noctua's and you won't be disappointed
Anyone have any insight as to whether these would be any good as case fans in a 'quiet build' setup? NB I actually need 140mm fans so have to look beyond those currently listed. TIA.
and yes they are the SP model as I double checked the ref. on the back of my fan against their and it is the same. So high pressure fans for cooler or anything else. The very best fan from corsair fans, also for the people worried about noise I can assure you that it is very smooth and flat even so loud at max and does not trouble me at all. Sometime the noise can trouble with these cheap fans where you can hear rattling and strange noises.

These are loud and AIR FLOW fans. Would not recommend for mounting on rads.
Maybe if you control them to low rpm as case fans.

The price might be hot but these will be super loud and unless your pc is in another room most likely unbearable. There's better alternatives much quieter for not much more namely Arctic F12 Pwm.

The image is of the static pressure fans, which come default with corsair all on one liquid coolers. These are not as good as the aftermarket ones. E.g. Louder. But there are a default af fan too which I presume these are. They will again be Louder than the aftermarket ones.

Please note these are new fans that have been removed from brand new cases. No packaging or screws will be provided.

are these better than the earlier post for the NZXT 140MM 14CM BLACK 3PIN RF-FN142-RB?
