Good find but it's a real shame this deal isn't tailored to individual preferences.

Good spot just a shame its stainless silver rather than titanium as it makes it look blingy.

Nice. I prefer a leather straps though.

The deal is what it is guys, some like titanium straps some like leather, others prefer nato etc. if I only posted deals on certain individuals preferences the choice would be narrowed considerably.
The last watch I bought came on a steel bracelet with a velcro and a nato strap included, and guess what I still want a leather for it.

We've said it's a good deal, just expressing personal preference does not take that away, dont take it personal.

agreed.
great deal, but still keeping my out for a titanium to replace my current titanium one. current one needs a service which is £130. as much as these watches don't need a battery, they do need a capacitor replaced, which is much more expensive than a battery replacement.

Glad it's not an Omega, shame it's not a Rolex Submariner.

Good price and superb watch. I have one and I love it. Build quality is superb. Strap does not feel cheap which is often compromised on many watches.

The capacitors (CTL-920) are about £20-25 on eBay.

really looking for an eco drive again. I know you can get the capacitors cheap, but its a waterproof watch, so I don't think it can be done without getting it sent away.

Reading about these watches, the capacitor should hold 80% of charge even after 18 years.

mine is around 12yrs old now. the second hand goes in 2sec increments instead of every second. which is an indication that the capacitor is on its way out.

i thought that was the low battery indicator. I take it you have tried leaving it in the sun for a while.

Wow. Thanks, I didn't know that. I'd much prefer to just change a battery every so often, even paying a shop to do it shouldn't cost more than a tenner.
I like the IDEA of these eco-drive watches, but maybe I'm better off going for a cheaper battery option.

it is a low battery indicator, but if it doesn't stop doing it after being left in light for a while, then its the capacitor that needs replaced. have tried leaving in daylight for a day. made no difference
