Excellent reviews, plenty of stock around & looks great value for the price.

There's an article i read when doing my research and tomee tippee responded saying the filter does remove the bacteria. It has been around for so long now and there's never been any evidence it has made a child ill.

Congratulations to everyone who is expecting or just had a wee one.
These mats are fab for keeping them amused & helping with hand eye co-ordination, they can be used for tummy time & both my youngest 2 started to crawl from mats like these.
With regard to time off, I was an older mum for my 2 youngest (now 6yrs & 5yrs) and my husband only took 2 weeks off each time & I had a cs with my last one, we chose to save more of his AL for to spread out over the year. It helped give a bit of a boost every now & again.

Yeah I had the same decision to make.Ended up taking 2 weeks off (going back tomorrow actually :disappointed: )
Luckily though, I am taking a weeks holiday so going back on 4 days a week for 7 weeks. 1 day a week off to make the weeks holiday. I couldn't really afford to take the statutory payment.

The first handful of months the baby is basically immobile and this gives them somewhere to lie, bash rattles and pull things as a little 'activity centre'. Your mileage may vary, but both of my kids liked this and it gives the little ones things to grab and pull in their early months when they're developing.

Thank you! And congratulations on your new baby. Just out of interest, how long are you having off work? We don't know whether to take just annual leave (2 weeks) or an additional 1 week of paternity.. Only paid at statutory though so a big financial hit :disappointed:

I hear you!
Just had our first little one and pretty much clueless as well. We were given this as a gift and he is only 2 weeks old and I dont think he can even see properly yet. So I would say worth getting but you wont really need one straight away.
The tommee tippee prep machine is worth its weight in gold though.Highly recommended.

And is this something that is used for "tummy time"?

First baby due in a few weeks. Baby knowledge virtually zero... do I need one of these?

Thanks; my wife and I are expecting our third in a few months and I think the one we have in the loft is probably past its best, so I'll pick up another. These are great for the first 4-6 months before baby can crawl.
