Ohhh those politically correct libtards they do my nut right in and spoil everyones enjoyment!
No wonder tv is sh**e these days!

Get this dude - he complains about Carry On Movies when all we see is violence, rape , foul language, morons = reality tv and sex on modern tv! You need a checkup from the neckup or a libtard enema!

And unlike today's sad generation who can only laugh if an expletive like F***, F******, Sh**, Pi** is uttered every minute (or less).

As for managing to bring Ukip into the comment about Carry on Films, well, all I can say is do you mind if I use a bit of today's language?
HOW **** SAD ARE YOU?
jnigel26
30 May 16 #71
It must be funny being on your own ...you must be the only person who didn't find it funny then (if you're really 'old' enough to have watched all of them when released) or now.
Perhaps someone has it in for you?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvs4bOMv5Xw

I have this set, and it's **** HILARIOUS! More so today (as others have said) in this dreadfully sad PC world where it's hard to say boo without some saddo complaining or throwing the race card.

commenting on old film's content with today's updated secular morality will uncover just as much as future generations will look down on programming nowadays. I can imagine things like our treatment to animals and the elderly (as well as the radish sexism etc that still persists) will be seen as major discretions

I've watched all of the Carry On films, I've never noticed any evidence of paraphilias or rape. You can leave that to the St Trinian's films (minus the rape). Can you cite any particular films/scenes where this occurs? I honestly can't think of any.

Certainly underage sex was common with rock stars in the 1970s, David Bowie, Jimmy Page and Iggy Pop all guilty of sleeping with 13-14 year old girls. Never got done for it either, despite Iggy Pop stating he slept with Sable Starr when she was 13. Source: Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sable_Starr and the lyrics of Look Away by Iggy Pop.

So yes schoolgirl perversions etc were seen as OK somehow in the 1970s, so was racism and sexism, however I don't recall seeing any paraphilias or rape in the Carry On films.

The deal is hot in that it's cheap for what you get etc, the price can't be beat etc.

But if you're a fan of this, you're probably as much fun to be around as a fart in a lift.

It's not that long ago since Little Britain was a hit TV show and it's still shown on TV today with Walliams and Lucas still doing the odd sketch for comic relief etc. That show took the p@&s out of disability, racism, homosexuality, transsexuals etc etc, probably so far from being "PC" it's unreal. At £25 these are a great buy and well worth viewing for people of all ages.

Were you looking for Love Thy Neighbour?

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/love-thy-neighbour-8-disk-complete-collection-dvd-12-99-prime-14-98-non-prime-amazon-2361251

Each generation and era has its own, these no worse that American Pie, or maybe Animal House.

Personally, I enjoyed watching these when I was younger and remember my Mum and Dad laughing out loud at them too. Look hard enough and you'll find non PC stuff everywhere in the late 50's, 60' and throughout the 70's. But this was great British comedy back then and out of it came (Indisputable) British comedy legends who can still provide enjoyment and smiles to peoples faces today long after they are all gone.

I just had a look at the reviews on Amazon 4.8/5 so I guess these films are still bringing enjoyment to the vast majority who buy this box set and as this website is about Hot UK Deals (and not the morality views of the minority) as the price is good it deserves a mention - have some heat!

Ok thanks. Look, I can see the point you're trying to make but you're doing it in a very ham-fisted way. Yes, Sid James was a dirty old letch in the films - that was his role in the series. Did he cross the line? By today's standards...probably, by the standards of the permissive 60s...probably not. You're exaggerating here. I don't remember him sticking his hand up anyone's jumper in any of the films I saw. It's just bawdy seaside humour, and probably shouldn't be subject to po-faced analysis and I would certainly object to people trying to censor what I want to watch because it doesn't tick a load of PC boxes. There are more things to worry about in today's world than whether a Carry On film is likely to offend anyone.

You may be forgetting (or perhaps you were not aware) that up until (the Sexual Offences Act) 1967 male homosexual behaviour was illegal. Perhaps those in the cast at that point (Williams & "Hawtrey", for instance) did not wish to gain a prison sentence.

The later ones were awful.
But "weren't funny then" is ridiculous.Thats why they were hugely successful and they made so many of them, then ?
Or is it the tedious, pompous, whining, arrogant "ist" and "ism" complaining because it's trendy to nowadays ?
These reflected the times.More basic yes. But more bloody honest

OK so on that point fair play, and at least you seem to be able to discuss this like a civilised person, instead of the usual insult or 'get a lifes'.. But i really do feel that this comedy should be left in the past we dont see many box sets for 'love thy neighbour'.

Look i'm not judging anyone for finding this stuff funny, I bet I would laugh if i watched it, but its very serious point to remember that this kind of mentality thats its just harmless fun can be dangerous, just recognise for what it was thats all I am saying.

Every Film after the first few, which were funny and not overly dependant on sexual innuendo, had a 'sex starved' Sid James drooling over some young 17 year old.. it isnt strictly limited to the carry on films, others like On Buses or such, usually dirty old men, sexualising very young girls..

As for the gay cast, were they openly gay? or was Kenneth Williams in a massive torment and depression over not being allowed to be openly gay, having to play up his camp roles.. very sad for him..

Look dont get me wrong here, I too laughed when I was a child watching these for the camp and slapstick humor, but this stuff has no place in today's society, watch it for a history lesson but we shouldn't be laughing at Sid James forcing his hand up some young girls jumper like its a normal thing to do... because at one time it was a normal thing to do, thank god it isnt now..

Lets not forget Sid James beat his real life wife, yet is considered a national treasure, personally I would consider him a scumbag coward, there are lots of scenes where it is implied the husband wants to smack his wife one, because she makes some 'blonde' comment or insults his manhood etc..

When i was a kid i used to love the carry on films, but now I am an adult, i can see them for what they are..

Sure its a time gone by and maybe they should be appreciated for that. but...

These films make,

Mocking of Homosexuals, Wife Beating, Womanising, Hebephilia and Ephebophilia, Rape, Molestation something to be laughed at.

personally they belong in the past, and best forgotten.
