Just bought from Tesco. Very good deal as this is usually retailing at around £45. With Fathers Day coming up I'd perhaps recommend this as a bottle for the old man to keep aside for those rainy days. We seem to be having quite a few of those at the moment- more in Scotland of course :)

there have been some excellent lightning deals on Amazon in recent days (Fathers Day coming up by any chance?) but the other half is getting concerned I have a drinking habit because I can't resist them. Some of the excellent deals were Aberlour A'Bunadh Cask strength for £31.60 and Glenfarclas 21 yr old for about £56 last night. They have also had the 18yr Glenfarclas on offer and the Aberlour 12yr.
If you are on a reasonably tight budget, and not a big fan of peated malt whisky, I'd currently recommend the Glen Grant 10yr old for £27.99 and also the Old Pulteney 12yr old which is £25 (same price in one or 2 supermarkets as well).

They had the 21 yr glenfarclas for £56? I knew I should have been playing on the internet instead of playing with the wife.

Yes, the 25yr old is on offer tonight at about 6pm. My guess is it will be around the £80 - £85 mark (at least that's what I'm hoping)

How do you find out when something is going to be on offer?

Check out "Today's deal", then filter by "Lightning Deal" and in this case "Beers, wines & Spirits".
Even though it says "today's deals", they quite often put on the deals for the following day as well - and the Glenfarclas 25 deal appeared yesterday as being available from 6pm today.

FYI the weather has been terrific in Western Scotland for weeks, and again today, so major fail.

It's generally a waste of time unless you have Amazon prime. Prime customers get 30 mins priority access to deals in which time it usually sells out. The Glenfarclas 15 sold out in about 2 mins.

The games up, you probably don’t know where Scotland is.

As Prime members get informed of their special deals, what’s the point of posting them here? Apart from promoting prime membership of course.
